Came across this place while in downtown Chicago. We tried the pelúa arepa (shredded beef, Gouda cheese) and the signature arepa, pabellón (shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantains, cheese); both were delicious. Maybe I would ask for the sweet plantains separately, but the combination of ingredients was very tasty. I loved the tortilla or whatever the arepa is made of. It melted in my mouth. Definitely worth trying this place. Glad I did.

Never had Venezuelan food before but decided to stop by here and I'm very glad that I did. I got the number 5 arepa and was a bit worried that it wouldn't be enough, but it was surprisingly filling for how small it was. The food tasted amazing for very reasonable prices and the white sauce that they have is extraordinary. Will definitely be looking to stop by again.

I was walking to my hotel and passed by and just had to stop in. My husband is Colombian/Venezuelan and I don’t see an arepa place often. What a great find!! The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and recommended a delicious reina pepillada. The fresh juices are also so yummy. Loved it! I would go out of my way to eat there again the next time I’m in Chicago.

I could live in this restaurant but sadly i have other things to do besides eat my favorite food. The staff is so nice and professional and the food just Yummy..!!! You have to stop by and try it

Just drove from Rockford (2 hours) for their food!. Highly recommend their empanadas and Guasacaxa

Awesome Venezuelan spot in the Loop. Great tasting Arepas. The food is much more filling than it initially looks. I got the Pabellón Arepa with shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantains, Caribbean cheese. Try it out if you’re in the Loop area!

As a Venezuelan I must say that I liked the food. The AC wasn’t working and my experience eating in wasn’t good. I couldn’t enjoy the food as expected because of it.

Venezuelan food, eh? Two things we found when we visited. 1.) You do NOT have to be an adventurous eater to love this place. And 2.) Arepas are so so so tasty! To call this a fusion of Caribbean and Central American cuisine may do it a disservice, but that's what I thought of. The menu is simple, the options are plenty and the staff is so friendly. Stop in here for a quick lunch or dinner...it's very fresh and very filling. We can't wait to come back and try a new menu item or two.

Terrific arepas right under the L. Workers were very friendly, helped me pick out which arepas to get, super friendly. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town. They are quite large, 1 arepa is good for one person. I made the mistake of ordering 3 for 2 people and it was a bit too much food, but if you're hungry it shouldn't be a problem. Definitely get #5
