Famous ice cream parlor nearby Castro district in San Francisco area. Popular among tourists for its salted caramel flavor ice cream. To me it’s a bit too sweet but others seems to love it. Easy access via public transportation. You can enjoy the ice cream at the park nearby.

Pretty intense internal battle I got going in between here and salt and straw. Salt and straw is definitely better but bi-rite makes a good argument. The cinnamon is great and so is the birthday cake. The peach cobbler’s peaches were undercooked for my liking. The black sesame, while novel, is not a good flavor - especially if you’re looking for anything resembling traditional ice cream or anything sweet. Their waffle cones are perfectly crispy and don’t get too thick on the bottom. The service was great, really nice dude who made sure everyone knew they could ask for as many samples as they wanted. Cool colors but the atmosphere inside the shop isn’t great. Seating is there but doesn’t have the ambience of other places. Price is fair and the area is fun. Go for the double play and get tartine bakery before ;)

If anyone asked me what's my favorite ice cream shop in SF, Bi-Rite will always be in my top 3. Always. There's so much hype around Bi-Rite and it definitely lives up to it. There's a good selection of normal and seasonal flavors to choose from. And if you're indecisive like me, you can actually get multiple flavors. The ice cream consistency is always creamy, potent in flavor that's not overbearing, and the fresh ingredients just shines right through.Flavors I keep coming back to: Sea Salt Caramel, Black Sesame, and Honey Lavender.
