Beyond Sushi

Update to my previous rating: their house made sliders are amazing. Best vegan burgers I may have ever had.

Was a little skeptical to try vegan sushi but the food here was outstanding! Very unique dishes and fresh and healthy ingredients. Sake was excellent too, as was the service. Will definitely be back!

I've been meaning to try Beyond Sushi for some time now. The place was large, open and casual. The menu items represented a very well put together alternative to traditional items. I would have given this location 5 stars if it weren't for two mishaps. I ordered two items . One of the food items was the wrong one. I has already taken a bite by the time I realized and felt bad to return it as i didn't want to waste food. I was really looking forward to trying what i originally ordered and was really not into the one that I received . It was still good, Its just not what I wanted. The other thing was that I didn't get all my change back when I paid. It was less than a dollar that was missing but still. I didn't want to be petty so I didn't bother addressing it. Both of these issues were due to human error, not an issue with the food quality, but they slightly tainted my experience .

Lovely sit down version of Beyond Sushi. They serve vegan delicacies as well as beer, sake, and wine. The blood orange Bloody Mary was delicious. The sake spiked lemonades were so-so. The food was very good. Our friends also got the sliders and said they were amazing. Prices are good for nyc - will definitely be back. Staff was friendly.

I’m not vegan but I could be! Came here with a date last night for Valentine’s Day and we had a cute little candlelit dinner. The food was amazing, especially the rolls. The flavors were amazing. Then I came back this afternoon and ordered takeout because I couldn’t get enough. Wow!

Delicious food! I so enjoyed the visit. Stuff was very welcoming and proactive. Nice, clean and calm place. Perfect for quick lunch or nice late date.

The menu is so creative and fresh, and the service is incredible. I love that nothing is trying to masquerade as meat, allowing the flavors to be really unique. Presentation of the food and the space is gorgeous! Highly recommend.

Strange to me to not have real sushi with a protein. This is basically a vegan sushi spot. Not really my style but the drinks were really good so three stars it is.

Absolutely delicious, one of the best places in which I have eaten in years. And I have done a fair bit of travelling. I ordered a lunch menu and even if I was full it was so good I had to order more. Perfect prices. Don't miss it

This place was so good. Very creative all vegan menu. Crispy potatoes with saffron were presented beautifully and tasted just as good. My favorite roll was the one with sweet potato inside. Our server was really nice as well. Very happy with my visit.

I gave this place 5 stars because it’s the first time I’ve had vegan sushi that wasn’t just basic non fish rolls at a regular sushi spot. This place takes the opportunity to be creative with their vegan options. I love that. There are a few of these locations in NYC - the one in midtown is the only experience I have with it and would highly recommend. I’ve added some photos of my favorites.

Best vegan food I have had. From their dumplings to sushi to main. Kebab was mind blowing. The ambiance was very decent and the server was very friendly. It all says in its name. Far beyond your expectations. The price is worth every penny. Would love to try every single item in the menu.

Man, the food was great, tasty, well prepped, and served quickly. We were impressed with the cocktails, the sushi, and the hummus platter. Very tasty.

Food was meh. Prices were on the higher end, but watch out for the truffle meal- they dont list the price for it bc its seasonal, but it's AT LEAST twice the price of the average meal on their menu, which isn't pocket change. If you're trying to treat yourself for a night or just a meal, don't go here- they aren't used to low-income or average blue collar workers stepping into their bubble. They're used to clientele that looks a certain way and it shows.
