First off will start with saying that the food was fantastic. Every other aspect of the dining was experience was not. The music in the establishment was deafening for our table, making it difficult to chat without raising our voices. The real kicker though was the service, it took nearly an hour for our entree orders to be taken, and then 30 minutes later our food arrived and we asked for our checks so we could make an exit for another engagement but our request was forgotten. Felt at times that our waiter would disappear for 20 minutes at a time only to reappear and serve the 3 other tables around us while forgetting our table. Stopped in from out of town to visit with friends but will not be returning.

Decent first experience here. We shared a small pizza as an appetizer then had spaghetti and gnocchi as entrees. Spaghetti is homemade and prepared al dente as it should be. The gnocchi was over cooked and extremely soft, which is the only thing that prevented me from awarding that 5th star. Service was great and we were seated on time.

The food is just incredible and so well executed. Charming, cozy vibe with the large pizza oven visible to the dining room. I think Bettola is one of the best restaurants in Birmingham!!!

Was visiting the area for work and had a family member recommend coming here. Already thinking of my next visit just so I can come here!

Best homemade pastas, pizzas, salads in a cozy modern environment. My go to for a fabulous Italian dinner and delicious lunch menu too.

Best Italian restaurant in the American South. Woodfired oven. Excellent service. Great vegetables. Superb ingredients and execution. Non-extortionate wine list that fits the menu. Decent local beer selection. Outstanding desserts.

The pizza was top notch! Delicious toppings and crust in their specialty pizza oven.
