No bacon hardly in German potato salad,food was like warm. Good beer and liverwurst. Bread a lot to be desired.

Absolutely must eat here when you visit the area.

Schnitzel. food, people everything was amazing. Great atmosphere. People from four states away came just for a beer while we were there it was awesome!

Never had German food before so decided to give this place a try. Husband tried a couple of German recommended beers, and we both had a schnitzel plate. Food was made fresh to order, was very delicious and we would definitely recommend it to anyone passing through the area.

Took a bit to find as the sign was not lit up. Otherwise it was a fabulous dinner! Out of the eight of us there was only one minor complaint, it was that the German potato salad was cold, he likes it warm or hot. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was amazing! A little pricey, but the quality of the food and service was superb overall.

Excellent authentic German food and a large selection of German Beers. The atmosphere is quaint and very welcoming. The dessert list is a variety of delicious cakes as well as the house made Apple Strudel. A must visit in Black Mountain. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Don't get me wrong this is a quaint, local, nice little restaurant. Friendly staff, and great service. That said however it isn't truly German, I ordered the German Burger which was decent but definitely not German as well as the rest of the meal. I will admit I am a bit spoiled because of my favorite German restaurant in Columbus OH which to me is the best.

Lemmon schnitzel was so delicious with red cabbage and sauerkraut! Absolutely delightful experience. The server lady was very fun and everything was a pleasurable first experience. The deserts were not too sweet but delicate cakes. I would definitely visit here for schnitzel again and for those cakes.

Everything was delicious and authentic! Had schnitzel, bratwurst, and spaetzle and will definitely be back!

Great food and very friendly staff. The restaurant is right on the main street and is easy to find. Plenty of parking space close by. The service is quick and the selection is great. The restaurant has lovely murals outside and very authentic decor inside. We felt if we were in a restaurant in Germany.
