Bellwether Meeting House & Eatery

This restaurant was perfect! The wait staff and servers were all super nice! The food was super delicious and there was so much to eat. Would absolutely love to go back!

The Best Lobster Mac & cheese I have ever had. This is my 3rd time coming back just to order it. 1lb -2lbs of Lobster mixed in with the mac.

Nice place to stop off for a cocktail. The beer stock was limited, the very nice bar man explained that they had just reopened after a burst pipe and redecoration. Attentive staff, well presented cocktails. Just the job for a 2pm top up!!

Looks like a nice place. Tried to stop in for 20 mins while I charged my phone and waited for my movie to start only for the bartender to lie and tell me they were closed. They then proceeded to serve the next guests that walked in the door after they thought that I had left. I just walked to kill time with a beer, but apparently that is too much to ask. Two stars for nice decor tho.

It's not that great... Waited hovered when we said we needed more time to look at the menu. Like he stood right at the table looking at us. Then the main course came out literally 30 seconds after the appetizers, and the waiter disappeared when our waters ran out. We waited about 5 minutes and then I just got the waters filled at the bar. Best to spend your cash elsewhere

We went here for lunch while at a conference in Chicago. The service was a bit slow and the food wasn’t hot. The fries were cold. It was also delivered incorrectly. The food took so long to order and come out, that I didn’t have time to return it to the kitchen to have them warm it back up. Since we were on a tight schedule I didn’t have time to speak to a manager. I would go back to try this place again but maybe not when they are busy. They don’t seem to be able to handle a crowd very well. I gave them higher stars because this was my first visit and the food did taste good, and the others in the group had good food as well.

It is a really nice restaurant. Seems a little upscale compared to what we were expecting, it’s attached to the embassy suits. Dark when they turned the lights down, couldn’t see our food.. too much gravy on the pork poutine, got the potato of my choice too soggy too fast, extremely rich. Chicken taco meat was also a bit on the spicy side without indication on the menu. Drinks were good, but pricey.

Bellwether is an absolutely incredible restaurant! The service here was some of the best I’d seen in Chicago on my last trip. The food was spectacular as well. They have a huge menu to choose from that’s bound to please just about anyone. My favorite is the lamb burger. It’s a great interior space and despite the upscale look and feel, they were very family-friendly. I will definitely head back to Bellwether my next time in Chicago!

Solid late night food in Chicago. Wide range of items on the menu in a chic modern dining room. Definitely on the pricier side but one of the few options open very late in the loop. Food is solid and wait staff were friendly and accommodating.

Went on a Friday night for dinner! They had good drinks, the Old Old Fashion cocktail is one of the bests Old Fashions I ever had! The decor is modern. Just a bit too dark for me inside. They had a large menu, a lot of different options available! Had the seafood pasta and it was delicious! We had Kristina as our server and she was so friendly! She made or night extra great! Will go again when visiting Chicago!

We ended up selecting this restaurant because it had good reviews and was close to where we had parked. This establishment exceeded our expectations. The service (Alex) was outstanding. The menu was interesting and updated, yet simple and satisfying. The ambiance was also very pleasant. I would return here without hesitation and happily recommend Bellwether to anyone looking for a solid enjoyable meal.

This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere to say the least. When you first walk in you will be wowed. The prices are fairly steep with the cheapest appetizers being around 12-15 dollars. I highly recommend the buffalo chicken flat bread. The burgers and chicken sandwich we're also really good. However, my chicken was a bit charred/burnt in some spots. The fries are also delicious. If you're looking for a late night up scale bite, this is definitely a great place to go.

Superb! Just had a really lovely meal here. Wonderful food, really great service, relaxed atmosphere.
