We were so disappointed with out happy hour at Bella Piatti last night. Service was not only slow, the waiter barely listened to our orders, taking dishes away when we asked him not to. He told us the times for HH were just changed even though notices stated differently. He told us a dish we always liked was their worst and we should make a different choice. Just not the high end tasty stop we crave each summer this time.

Tried Bella Piatti for the first time on my birthday and really enjoyed it. The service was great, and all of the food was amazing. Tried the quail and mushroom risotto and it blew me away! The mussels were also a favorite. My daughter got a lemon chicken dish, and it was a bit overwhelmingly lemony but she still liked it. We definitely will be back.

Amazing food with some of the best service I've had anywhere in the world. Directly across the Townsend in downtown Birmingham, Bella Piatti is a wonderful place to dine at for both leisure and business. I highly recommend this restaurant to any and all. Some of the best Italian I've ever had; period.

I came here by Google Maps suggestions and was amazed. Great service! Awesome food! Great ambiance. Waiter was very helpful deciding the food and wine. There is nothing negative I can think of. This place is now one my favorite Italian restaurant in Detroit area.EDIT: Went again to try some other items from their Menu. Food was as good as I was expecting but would not visit again. I got my reservation at 10 PM (Lady on call said they are all booked before 10). I called them at 8 PM to do it earlier if possible. They said it's all booked. We went at 9.30 to try our luck and saw 3-4 tables were empty. Also multiple times we felt like our server was racist.

Always have loved our meals at Bella Piati! Waitstaff is always attentive. Now we’re forced to do carry out and it is great. The salmon is our favorite and the tiara misu is the best we’ve ever had, don’t miss it. Hope you can continue the carry out even after the restaurant reopens.

Excellent food, nice staff, regularly awesome character. They charge fair prices and the food quality is good. 5 stars.
