Beefsteak

I was happy to discover a Beefsteak in Foggy Bottom. The restaurant combines eating healthy & decadence with luxurious vegetable ingredients, and amazing extras like salt-cured salmon and poached egg. I also love the juice blends, and they now have craft kombucha. It’s more than just salad, too, since you can get your veggies steamed in a bowl.

Man this place is amazing. A vegetarians dream place. You can build your own bowl or get some of the pictured "burgers". Tons of flavor and very affordable. The house made juice is also amazing.

Made-to-order meals with a focus on a large variety of vegetables in each. You can pick and choose specifically what you want to customize the meal. Overall good, with very fresh-tasting veggies and very healthy meals that seem low in added fat and salt. They have a number of vegan options.My only complaints would be that I'd like a little more spiciness, and also maybe slightly larger portions--I left still feeling a bit hungry.

This place is great! Fresh veggies and friendly workers too. If you order ahead with the app you can only pick 4 veggies, but if you order in person they'll let you pick more than that. I usually create my own warm veggie bowl by picking whatever looks good. They drop them all into a metal basket and then it spends a couple of minutes in a boiling water bath. When they finish boiling I like to add veggie rice, garlic yogurt sauce, chickpeas & more. I recommend this place. They have outdoor seating too.

Great food options, fun interior! Good for catering, too. It can be a little expensive, but is on par with most DC fast casual restaurants. It's an office favorite and we appreciate all the vegan and vegetarian options. 🌱

Fresh produce and great ingredients. However, names can be deceiving. My cauliflower dish was mostly lettuce.

I ate the tuna up bowl with avocado instead of the poached egg and it was delicious. The only complaint I would have is the lavendar lemonade was very sweet so I couldn't really drink more than a glass of it. Overall though this is an excellent restaurant.

No beer here, take off the menu please But staff is great!

It tastes nice but it is basicly vegetables rather than steaks.

"Well, that was delicious," said my wife. Vegetarian, perfectly spiced off the menu. Had the seasonals on my first visit - Squashed, a soup with steamed veggies. The potatoes were a little under done, but otherwise perfect. Also, the little wild curry could be called little mild curry. Again, perfect, except I like a little heat. Ask for more spice, because without meat you need something to sendbthe endorphins into high gear. The juices are also a great deal, at 1.99 for all you can drink; house made.
