Walked in on a Sunday at 3:30 PM. Was able to be seated immediately. It took 20 minutes for a server to hand us menus. Another 20 minutes just to get water. We had asked three times. We even had to ask for bread and breadsticks. We ordered three dishes. Chicken Parmesan, a large seafood dish and the unlimited pasta. The chicken Parmesan came out overdone to the point where the chicken was hard. The seafood dish came out cold. The pasta which was supposed to be unlimited, well never got refills nor even asked. We had no server attending to our table the whole time we were there.I do not recommend this place at all.

Becco, owned by the Bastianich family, is the place for pasta. Their specialty of the house is their all-you-can-eat pasta They serve three types of pasta every day and you can have as much as you like from the waiters who roam the dining rooms with pans of hot pasta.Or, you can order off the menu for typical northern Italian dishes. I dare anyone to leave there hungry. They have a fairly substantial wine list with most bottles selling for $39.Becco has been in business for decades. Their business model hasn't changed. It's pretty fair value for a restaurant in the theater district.I've been several times over the decades and always look forward to returning.

The food was good although nothing that I haven't had before. The service can definitely improve, let me take a seat before asking me what type of water I want, white wine should be chilled, the server should serve me the wine and please remove some tables! I don't want to see on top of the strangers next to me. Love Lidia but very dissatisfied and will not go back.

Questions & Answers

I wss a patron. you would have to call.

There is a folding wheelchair ramp that can be quickly set up if a guest needs wheelchair access - if you have a reservation, mention it to the staff or in an OpenTable note when booking; if you're coming in as a walk-in it's advisable to give the restaurant a quick call as you're heading over so staff can be ready to get it set up immediately.

Becco is within walking distance of the theaters.

There is a parking lot close by on the same side of the street. However, this is NYC and you will have to pay for it. Excellent Italian food, and the wine only costs $29/bottle.

Great restaurant. We eat well and it's quite cheap (for prices in, of course, NY)

There is no dress code. I saw people wearing suits and dresses. My group wore casual clothes. Enjoy! The Chicken Parmesan is ridiculous!

And it is only $26... You won't get that deal very many places in the city, especially at this quality of food
