Bayti Mediterranean Delicacies

If you are looking for fresh, delicious food that is both light and filling, this is the best spot in Abq. I go at least once a week and crave it the rest of the time. Basically addicted to their garlic sauce, cucumber yogurt, rose pudding, and baked kebbe.It is Lebanese-style Mediterranean and is the only place that I know of in Abq to get Lebanese food. Everything is very fresh tasting with good clean flavors - lots of lemon and similar light, bright flavors. Nothing is greasy or heavy, a nice change from most Middle East or kebab places around town. Food is prepared on site and served deli-style. You can either buy containers of food to go (an awesome option for students like me), or they will heat the food for you and you can eat in. Either way, you can't go wrong.

I don't say it lightly that Bayti has the best Mediterranean food I've had in the United States or abroad. The flavors are intricate, complex, and layered. The quantities ample, and the service legendary. The garlic sauce and lentils are not to be missed. Don't let the unassuming storefront and bright entrance dissuade you from one of the best dining experiences you may ever have.
