Bay Street Biergarten

They turned the heater on for us shortly after we arrived d/t chilly Feb evenings. Our waitress was friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. My hamburger as seen in the picture tasted amazing. Only complaint with it was that my bottom bun was saturated and it eventually fell apart. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone just wanting drinks or some amazing food.

We had a great experience here. The service was great and the food tasty! Loved the pretzel and tots for appetizers; had the kielbasa for the main meal. Could smell the sausages smoking on the grill when we pulled up so that was a no brainer to order! :) Tom served us and was great. He’s also a firefighter so thank him for his service!

Relaxed friendly place with good food and plenty of beer. Some tables have their own beer tap and there are self-serve taps, so this is a good place to go if you like to drink beer. Plenty of parking in the lot.

Excellent beer selection. Food is inventive and creative and the wait staff is knowledgeable and nice. Would definitely recommend the pretzel bombs.

Went for Backstreet Boys Brunch! The throwbacks were SO fun! Highly recommend checking out their 90s-themed brunches!The service was pretty terrible—it took 20+ minutes just to get menus. We had made a reservation, but when we got there, they said they didn’t take reservations for their themed brunches. So they need to get that worked out.Food was good! Larger than Life mimosas were awesome. Would definitely go back for their themed brunches!

Highly impressed by their customer service ! My boyfriend and I are vegan, and they were EXTREMELY accommodating to this. We asked if the buffalo cauliflower was vegan, to which the waitress went to find out. It is not (rolled in egg wash before rolling in breading), but she said the chef was willing to try it without egg for us! She said he couldn't guarantee how the presentation would look, but we honestly didn't care, as long as it tasted good. So then the chef made us a sample batch to make sure we liked it, which we did. This kind gesture just made our experience so fantastic. Staff is so nice, the environment is comfortable. Highly recommend to locals and visitors

Let me just start off by saying the homemade chips are mouth watering...something as simple as chips literally made my mouth water, anyways I went here with my cousins and let me tell you the food did not disappoint... the burgers were thick and juicy and the smoked wings were awesome. Next time I’m in town I’ll make sure to stop by this place once again.

Most restaurants try to be a "me too" dining choice. Not the Biergarten. The uniqueness of there menu along with a fantastic patio for relaxing is frankly a great experience. The service is top notch and you will find an education in all the food and drink choices from the staff. No visit to Charleston would be complete without visiting this unique and eclectic establishment . It's worth your time!

AWESOME. AWESOME. AWESOME! We thought we'd try somewhere new and glad we did! Hostess was very friendly in welcoming us. Server, John, was very accommodating and patient answering our questions about food and beers, many of which they have. Burger was Outstanding. Food was hot. Beer was cold. We will go back...loved it!

Food was A1! Drinks were A1! Just go here, you wont regret it!We ordered the meat platter, the friend green tomatoes and the southern burger. I cant remember the names of our drinks but my was like a smokey drink, with Mezcal it was sooo good!. Our waitress was very familiar with the menu and knew how to perfectly describe the flavors in the menu options we were contemplating in order to help us decide. Also, the menu was not cumbersome and filled with a million options and it was two pages long and and had the perfect amount options on it. All of their met is smoked in house and is delicious!!

Just finished a great meal here. Wonderful ambiance and fun. Lillian was the best server I believe I've had in recent memory. Very recommended. Best food in charleston
