Barking Mad

Came here last weekend and was blown away by how flavorful food was. Ordered myMom this same dish for Mother’s Day, myself a chai latte and my brother a sampler breakfast dish thing. It was delicious. TODAY I decided to get the steak and egg for myself and I am truly disgusted and upset. Found a hair in my food. Really had high hopes for this place being my new breakfast spot. Lady at cafè desk is amazing and super friendly. Might come back for the chai but no more food for me..

Barking Mad is my new favorite brunch spot. We went on a Saturday around 11 and it was pretty packed, but we had called ahead so we got seated right away. The service was top notch. Our server was Iris, and in addition to being really nice and attentive, she made great drink suggestions (the herbal tea was lovely). The brunch menu is just awesome. Plenty of classic options (I got the french toast, which was delicious) as well as fun stuff like breakfast pizzas. I plan to go back soon. Looking forward to trying the bottomless mimosas!

Excellent brunch options, waitresses are kind and attentive. It can get very crowded for bunch though so remember to make a reservation.

One of the better restaurants in the area. A gem. The food is good. The wait staff are attentive. The place is bright and cheerful. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the food just slightly misses the mark. The BLT needed a bit more bacon and real mayo. The mussels were good but not great (overcooked). I think part of my issue is this place really is pursuing a healthy menu. An admirable goal. But don't give us comfort food lite (a weakened BLT) if that's your goal. Give us great healthy choices (and to be fair, there are some on the menu). We will be back. With a better perspective on what to order. It's a good place that I want to support.

As you can see by the photos the food was very delicious. We went on a Sunday morning to enjoy brunch with the kids. I can say we weren't disappointed. It was actually a perfect morning in terms of weather. It was nice because the adjacent pavilion had music playing. My only complaint was that the water glasses for both my wife and I still had lipstick stains on it from another customer. Other than that customer service was good. Ambience was good. Price a bit on the high end but for good wholesome food can't really complain. Food was tasty. And that's a wrap for this review.

I really enjoyed my time here. We came here for brunch and the food was delicious. Their menu is full of creative twists on breakfast classics. The restaurant is clean, bright and modern and they have a great patio area. All their staff is friendly and very attentive. Also their coffee was fantastic! We will definitely come back!

I had never been here before so i was expecting a rip on Starbucks. I does have the wonderful smell of fresh coffee in the air. But there is so much more. A bar and a restaurant with a menu of delightful sandwiches and deserts. It was also extremely clean. I've been in some hole in the wall joints last couple of days and the contrast was stark and welcome.

I really wanted to like this cafe but it not worth the drive (an hour away😔). I had a macchiato and a latte, both were delish😋 but the brownie vanilla ice cream dessert was such a disappointment. The ice cream was watery not a full cream and the brownie was crumbly not gooey like a good old fashioned buttery chocolate bake😢 it felt like they were counting calories when they made this dessert.

The food is delicious, the service is a bit slow, wish they would improve that. This place gets very busy so make sure to reserve your table in advance or go after 1 PM during the weekends.

I just happened to be looking around locally for coffee while at the MVA. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place. All of their espresso drinks use Counter Culture which I’m very fond of and the atmosphere was very pleasant. It was pretty busy but service was very fast. The food looked very good and there was even an outdoor patio. It looks like have live music every Friday and Saturday. Would absolutely come back.

Delicious meal. Made with love. Will enjoy coming back to try different menu items.

Best brunch in Gaithersburg. Reservation is highly recommended. Our server was Bella and she was PHENOMENAL! Cannot say enough good things about her; attentive, thorough, extremely pleasant. Food was delicious and bottomless mimosas were just a splash of juice and always full.

Enjoyed our dinner very much. Great service from Cesar R at the Gaithersburg location. A friend of mine recommended this place and my wife and I will recommend it as well. Excellent food and service at a very reasonable price.
