Quality of food is mediocre. It's a shame because the location is great and the interior is beautiful.

I went here for the 1st time Many years Ago as My husband and I stumbled upon the lovely restaurant before a Broadway show(Way before Covid). I happened to be the Best discovery for a restaurant I have ever had. I rave about their Gnocchi every chance I get, even refusing to eat it anywhere else we go. There is no comparison and soeaking of it makes My mouth Water. I am so eager to return, and when I tried some time last year I was bought to near tears knowing it was closed. My worst nightmare would have been that i couldnt visit again. Today again speaking of their amazing Gnocchi, I checked and quickly found out that they are very much open. The amount of joy this brought me is beyond measure and I really hope I am able to visit them soon. Thank you so much for the amazing dinner we had only 1x here but i plan to travel to the city and experience it again very soon.

Absolutely amazing ambiance and history I really hope this business succeeds as its delightful and there are few authentic restaurants left. However... A horrible eating experience. The bread was brought out cold and rock hard. I asked the waiter if there was any meat in the pasta he said no then eventually brings out veal stuffed pasta. This was graciously taken back to the kitchen but then what was brought out was actually half cooked pasta in a plain sauce. its hard to articulate how bland and disappointing this pasta was. my partners marlin was served over delicious ragu but the fish itself wasn't great. Dry, hard and lacking flavor any Italian restaurant should be at least better than olive garden. This restaurant was not. Definitely recommend if you want a relaxing place to have a glass of wine. To eat? Maybe not so much. Hope this is could be a wake up call for the wait staff and chef. Would love to see this restaurant hit a 200 year anniversary It should be noted that the staff apologized for the veal and refunded the half cooked pasta. But still.

The staff here are wonderful!! I interacted with 5 of them throughout the dinner and they were all so great, I was dining alone and didn’t feel out of place at all. The garden is super cute, so would recommend eating outside if possible. A great pre-show place!

A friendly and warm place with beautifully decorated atmosphere. Food was decent and they do not season the dishes too heavily which I personally preferred. Dessert was very sweet and rich though for my liking. I would go back to this place - garden seating looked so beautiful but we sat inside due to hot weather.

Service at this place is horrendous. Food was good, but brace up for rude service and extreme subpar experience

It’s like stepping back in time! The atmosphere is completely charming and the service is so lovely. We went for our 12th wedding anniversary and absolutely loved our experience!

Great food. Awesome service. We brought our boys and they were able to try new things. I had the lump crab and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. My wife and son really enjoyed the swordfish. I’m pretty sure the owner was talking to us off and on all night. Great guy. We walked to our play after dinner. I can’t think of a better place to eat before going to a show. Highly recommend.

Amazing!! Beautiful dining room...classic, elegant, and old school Italian.

Interesting and fun restaurant with some good food, some misses. Good burgers and fries, excellent fish and chips, Mexican dishes sometimes less successful. Fries are usually great but sometimes they'll serve stale batch. Send them back if they aren't hot. The Prices are a little high for the quality as we're for the beautiful decorations and popularity. One thing you should never order here is red wine. We learned that long ago that they serve red wine unpleasantly warm.. We forgot that tonight and ordered a glass and sure enough, red wine served at about 80°. I seem to recall a waitress saying all of their bottles are stored above a refrigerator that gives off heat. So it's all warm. Except the whites which are refrigerated. Breakfast on the weekends is very good, especially their French toast, although we rarely go because their wait line is always insanely long on weekend mornings. If you get up early enough, the French toast is worth it.

I almost never write restaurant reviews, but we met a waiter who needs to be recognized publicly. Eduardo is his name and he was phenomenal. He catered to my friend and me. He was prompt, smart, caring, and knowledgeable about the food. And he just had this friendly demeanor about him that made us smile. By the end of our dinner, the two of us said, we would return to the restaurant. By the way, the food is pretty good! Thank you! Eduardo for the wonderful service!

We had one of our worst experience in restaurant at Barbetta. The service was awful. The waiter was pushy, rude and inattentative. The food was bland border mediocre. It is as far as possible as any experience we had in Italy. Avoid this place.
