Bar Altura

Love everything about this place. Staffs were super friendly, attentive and helpful. The gentleman at the bar helped us to pick a nice bottle of wine. He seems to have much knowledge about wine. Vibe was perfect for me too. They didn’t play the loud music, which is the reason why this place is now my go-to. Interior design was decent and beautiful but not overwhelming fancy. The fooddddd OMG. I love their bolognese pasta and the other appetizers I had were amazing. Will be back soon!

Had an excellent meal here on Saturday night!Very attentive service (Anton I believe), the chef even came out to present the feature risotto we ordered (which was amazing!)Also ordered the roast duck breast and a few other items to share as well, all excellent.I'll definitely be bringing more people back with me next time to try more!

Delicious pizza And cocktails with extremely friendly service!

Came to this place with high expectations and they were exceeded. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming. The music is the right volume, service is top notch and the food is amazing. We tried a couple of different appetizers, followed by mains and everything was great. The chef really puts an effort into creating each dish. This place is a gem in the city. heavily recommended

I've been here 3 times now, and each time keeps getting better! The atmosphere is warm and sophisticated. The staff is friendly and professional. And, the food is absolutely delicious!!! Each time I've gone I've tried something new, and I've never been disappointed!! I will continue to visit whenever I come to Toronto :)

My wife and I went to Bar Altura yesterday. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, as was the "Happiest hour" beverages. We will definitely be back for more.

Simply delicious from start to finish. Only thing - they ran out of cannolis. And the cocktails! Words will never do it justice. A must try.

I waited for this place to open for months. Finally it did and it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!! It is a well needed addition to the neighbourhood and is always on point. The cocktails fashioned by Will are incredible. The wine list is expanding and they are always open to suggestions. Now the food....Marco the chef is an absolute genius. The food is executed with such passion and forethought. I have tried almost everything on the menu and I can honestly say that there is nothing that has let me down. The execution of each dish is done with such precision and passion it takes the dining experience to a level that is not usually found in such a lovely casual setttig. The design is chill and sexy. The staff are always accommodating and like I said earlier the cocktails and food are fashioned with a passion that is unmatched. All in all you are in for a great experience on Queen West when you walk through the doors at Bar Altura.

The food and the service were amazing. Different ingredients on some of the pastas, like rabbit and bison. Amazing. Good choice in Toronto.

I am Italian, so I know what good, authentic Italian food is supposed to look and taste like, and it is so hard to find in North American restaurants. But this is good, authentic Italian food. It was absolutely delicious. Fresh, high-quality ingredients, cooked perfectly. The staff is from Italy, they speak Italian, and they are lovely. This restaurant is as if someone took a restaurant out of Naples, Italy and plopped it down in downtown Toronto. I recommend this restaurant 100%.
