Went here for the first time last night. Had a phenomenal experience! Our server, didn’t catch his name but we’ll call him Anthony Kedis, was so knowledgeable and so incredibly prepared it was very impressive, a true professional and arguably one of the best servers I’ve encountered. The food was really unique and delicious, we had such a good time and would absolutely go back and recommend this spot to anyone.Fantastic experience all around.J

This restaurant is located in Vancouver’s Chinatown. So, you get the feeling of being around Asian speciality restaurants. Bao Bei, however, definitely stands out on it’s own.

Good restaurant if you want to share a few plates with friends and cocktails. Located in the middle of Chinatown near Keefer bar. No online reservations as you'll have to walk in. My favorite dishes:- The marinated eggplant - pork belly - beef tartare - king pea tips - (special) green peppers

Great food and cocktails. The place is quite small so make sure you get there early to ensure you get a table

The ambiance is pleasant, lively. Service was super friendly. The menu is small, but I had the wonton and shrimp dumplings and they were very good. Must say I was a bit worried by the lack of oriental faces serving, but then spotted the Chinese guys in the kitchen. Good. I would gladly come back.

Casual, stylish, funky, dumpling drop, can't stop, this is a Canadian mosaic not a melting pot.

Absolutely worth the hype. The food is so unique and tasty, and while it’s pricey it’s not a fortune. Totally recommend!

This restaurant is the one I always prefer. I eat in a lot of restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The team is very warm and the cooking they place on your table is so fresh and tasty. I am always happy to have a nice dinner in this place. I highly recommend this place.

Unbelievable food, service and atmosphere! My highlight was the seafood dumplings, the beef buns, and the sesame flatbread with lamb. Also the Chinese doughnut! Mmmmm! Thank you!

I’ve eaten here about 15 times. Not only is it delicious and innovative, but completely consistent every time. One of the best restaurants in the city, or anywhere! Six out of five starts.

I’ve wanted to go here for a while except it’s always busy and I now understand why. The food is exceptionally well done. Loved: Dan Dan Noodles, the pork belly, squid, and beef tartare Glad I tried but would pass on next time: Shao Bing

Our server was really nice. We ordered the hot and sour soup and it was a bit too spicy for us. He helped us tone down the spice by giving us a scoop of their coconut peanut candy cilantro ice scream. It was also very thoughtful that they proactively asked us if we have any allergies. Loved their dumpling skin. Was perfect!
