Strong stinking smell of burning cooking oil and wifi does not work. The wifi was not working on Friday, Dec 6, around 5pm. According to the waitress, the wifi is very inconsistent.

Brownie and hot chocolate were lovely. The other dishes I saw people eating looking great. Next time I'll go in

Relaxing and spacious. Had an excellent coffee and scone. Very busy for Monday mid-morning but with enough vibe to be able to conduct meetings or fiddle with your laptop.

Fantastic place on bloor street. Spacious cafe space with more seating upstairs. Service is excellent and the food is absolutely tasty. The cafe also features art from an artist of the month. Definitely a place to go for brunch and you get your mimosas and caesars in. I had the Baka brunch, chai latte and house coffee. It seems to get busy on weekends post lunch and expect to see a lot of folks working away on their laptops or families having a leisurely brunch.

We visited the cafe on a rainy autumn day. It felt good to warm up in a cozy atmosphere and with a cup of coffee. They use dark roasted coffee beans so make sure you like the robust, little bit bitter taste of your espresso based drink. They offer strudel what I’ve been looking for a while and haven’t seen anywhere in town before. It is definitely worth a visit especially to people who like to be surrounded by art while they enjoy a nice treat.

Tasteful interior, counter help is genuinely sincere, great clientele. This place has a nice vibe. They also have a decent selection of food and drinks.

While waiting to present my clients, Jennifer and Mitch's offer on their first home, I decided to grab a bit at Baka. So far, delicious. Just the right fuel needed for negotiations

Nice patio. Good coffee. Busy Bloor street location. Good for people watching. The only negative is the pay parking.

As a cafe - it is a lovely atmosphere for a coffee/latte, pretty pictures, great lighting, cute patio. As a cafe it deserves a 4/5I ordered a Chai Latte with coconut milk, which is an extra charge. It was over priced and had no foam (coconut is lower in fat so I understand it’s hard to foam). The regular dairy cappuccino was cute, and had a heart design, the espresso was a lovely roast. The food is where it lost points. 3/5Chicken Pesto Sandwich - not enough pesto and very little goat cheese, the bread was nice, crisp panini edges, soft inside. Steak Salad - it was lovely, with beets and a hard boiled egg. Pan fried steak pieces as well. BELT (in a wrap) - exactly what you expect, comes with ketchup on the side. Nothing special.
