Amazing food! The salad was very fresh, the entree was extremely flavorful and delicious, and the peanut butter swirl cheesecake was so decadent. Very unique menu options that I was hesitant about but the willingness to be adventurous and try something new was deeply rewarding.

Food was great! We went a couple of Sunday’s ago as a date. I left some of the food just to take home to savor. The decor is amazing and the people are very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Liked the atmosphere. Good happy hour specials. My friend enjoyed the "seafood heaven" dish. I tasted it and it was good. I had the crab cake sandwich but was disappointed. Altogether, I'd definitely return to re-do dinner.

Catfish filet is fantastic! Cheese grits were so creamy but their collard greens are the best you have ever out in your mouth!! I Guarantee 😄. Roasted and Toasted salad is also delicious

Good was great! David didn't even have to ask if they knew what blue meant, they asked if that was what he wanted. So much of the food was locally sourced, and the desserts all looked so good I had a tough time choosing. Might have to return to Tallahassee just to come back to backwoods crossing.

Everything was very tasty and the wait staff was friendly. Started with the best mozzarella sticks we'd every had. I had Hog in the Henhouse and my wife had the Beast burger. Highly recommended!

Would give three stars but the appetizers where amazing. We loved the eggplant, stuff crab, and mushroom appetizers. They where very fresh!!!!! Great flavors and sauce. The entrees were a different experience though it took 45 minutes for them to come out. The shrimp and grits was dry on the outside somewhat creamy once you started biting into it as if it was sitting under a heat lamp for too long. The stroganoff seem to be the same issue not creamy enough and and the noodles seem like they've been under a heat lamp beef was not very tender.Couple of tables down someone stroganoff did look better though. The buffalo chicken sandwich was enjoyed it was a little overcooked though. kids chicken tenders were a little dry fries were great. The catfish po boy was great. If this place can bring food out a little faster and not be dry on initial bites they could receive 5 star review. The appetizers did need a 5-star review. The kids enjoyed walking around the garden.

Wonderful food, well-executed, fantastic service. Friendly atmosphere, relaxed and welcoming. I enjoyed walking the garden out front and all the specials incorporating seasonal ingredients. Would have been a 5-star review except for the use of Mason jars as beverage glasses. We were served a beer in a Mason jar. Get some actual dishes, please.

We had an amazing experience at Backwoods Crossing tonight! Symone was our waitress and she was friendly, attentive, and helpful. We would love to have her as our waitress again in the future! The food was so wonderful--very fresh and flavorful. We can't wait to try more of the menu as soon as we can! The star of our meal was the dessert. It was creative and out-of-the-box and by far one of the best we've ever had dining out. Thank you for a lovely dining experience!

This palce is cool little spot off the side of the exit. Farm fresh. Take a little self tour of the property. Beautiful flowers and a awesome thing they are doing. My kids thought it was cool to see how things grow and the whole process.

Wonderful selection if fresh farm to table dishes. I ordered the Stolen from N'awlins over a veggie medley as I am gluten free. It. Was. Amazing! The sauce was to die for! The homemade rosemary blue cheese salad dressing was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great service, excellent cuisine and all around intetesting place. Take a walk around the large garden area where there are also bunnies, chickens, turkeys and quail (or maybe they were grouse). If you are visiting the Tallahassee Automobile Museum, it's within a half mile, as in drive to the next intersection, make U turn and it's right there.

This. Let me find the words. This is a delectable gourmet restaurant that you would imagine to be featured on the Food Network and the idea that it has not been ... YET. Well. Let’s hope this review takes you to this hidden gem before a wait list is made to get in the door. Nestled by a vegetable garden, right off I10, Backwoods Crossing is a white cottage on the outside and a sleek dining experience on the inside. The Seafood Heaven is an upscale spin on shrimp and grits and the Hen on the Hog a cordon bleu remaster. I cannot stress the importance of this hidden gem! These are the places that make being a foodie so much fun.
