Back 40 Kitchen

First visit to the back40 and had a great lunch. Food was fresh and tasty and the staff were very friendly. Would eat her again when in the area.

Delightful meal and excellent service in a cozy space. The mussels in french curry are a must. My boyfriend ordered the duck special and it was cooked perfectly and wasn't gamy; he said it was like eating a steak. We will definitely be back.

Elegant restaurant with nice food “hidden” deeply on the second floor behind a small door by the busy Greenwich Ave (it has another door on the other side, tho).

We went today for brunch and as always the food was so delicious with that farm-to-table style. Ian the chef is very considerate about having Vegan dishes on the menu. The only feedback would be to change the menu up since it seems the same for some time now. My favorite dish is the French Toast and for my daughter, the Vegan frittata. I’d been wanting to check this out for awhile and I finally made it. It didn’t disappoint! Very fresh ingredients and eclectic menu with an inviting atmosphere too!

Fantastic service. All the food was delicious and well made. The atmosphere would have been nice but there was an obnoxiously loud double date behind us. It was almost impossible to hear anything but them.However that is no fault of the restaurant. They themselves were amazing, attentive, and well versed in the meal. I would highly recommend! Be aware it is a bit pricey!

I always enjoy dining at Back 40. The service has been impeccable and the food delectable. Chef Ian goes above and beyond taking time out of the kitchen to talk with us and other diners about their meals and their experience.

Tasty farm to table resto that would not be out of place in California. The carrot cake is to die for. The handmade chips are a must. The soup excellent. I tried the jackfruit tacos... ok. A few Vegan options available. Good service!
