Horrible experience and worse food for an exorbitant price!!! The only saving Grace was probably the Golgappas

Great service, beautifully seasoned and presented food. Highly recommend the "Unauthentic Butter Chicken!"Prices were a little high, but hey, it's SF! Well appointed bar, solid cocktails, and delicious non-alcoholic options. Well worth it.

This place is great for authentic upscale Indian food. Honestly, we were tired of the menu of Amber (Yerba Buena) and Dosa on Fillmore, which have been the same for many years. Babuji is a breath of fresh air. It is definitely at a more reasonable price point than August 1Five and Rooh. I am really happy that restaurants like this are elevating Indian cuisine in San Francisco, from the traditional perception of comfort food. What's great- believe it or not the Paneer Tikka masala is what makes us come back to this place. They do make really good naan. The Baingan Bharta is ok. I do love their appetizer - yoghurt kebab, the tandoori corn salad. Do try their gulab jamun for desert it's delicious!!The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is they can introduce another vegetarian entree or replace the Dal/ Baingan Bharta with something more elevated!!

Recommend for drinks but not for food. Very expensive and they charge for everything, even for hot sauce and other condiments. That said, the food was tasty but portions were very small.

Really good Indian food. Gives Dosa a run for their money. Also they have some neat artwork.

Had gone here with so much expectations. The menu is small, the food is good but nothing really wow you to make you want to go there again. Not one dish which you felt... oooohhhh gotta have more of that. Not one! Sticking pretty flowers and reasonably good plating does not maketh worth it. The saddest part was the seafood curry which we ordered....which doesn't go with the naans. Does the waiter make an alternative suggestion or change it...Nope. And it ends on a disappointing nite as they barely have couple of desserts. Just three to be exact and the third option.....Chai!!!

Very lively and energetic restaurant. The cuisine is Indian - excellent variety of Indian food. It was my first time eating an Indian meal. The servers made it very educational for me - what to order, recommendations along with their popular dishes. Great food and experience!

Wow. We had the Chef Tasting Menu served in their private dining room for a friend's birthday and the food was amazingly delicious and the service was impeccable. We all had a fabulous evening.
