Avenue Cafe

Perfect little coffee shop with a nice selection of quick food.

I brought my niece to the avenue cafe because it is very similar in style and atmosphere to her coffee houses in Portland,Oregon. She was very happy with the variety of organic juices and vegan food options. The staff was very friendly and readily answered any menu questions. The food was brought out very quickly and was made to order. I had a little problem with The latte not being warm enough for me, but the management were very fast to provide excellent customer service to rectify The issue. I would go back again even with all The construction going on St. Charles Avenue. The Avenue Cafe is cozy and casual. The laid back vibe of the staff and decor lends itself to people working on laptops, having a quick bite, and just stopping by to have coffee and conversation. The family-friendly layout allows kids to be active, but not distracting to other customers. I didn't feel rushed to eat and run. Good job and that's why they received 4 stars.

Great coffee shop / Cafe. Good for a breakfast or light lunch. They had a lot of vegan and gluten free bread and pastry options. Biggest table is for 4 so better for small groups or a good place to work remote.

Cozy place & yummy irish coffee

Love this little place. What a hidden gem!! Found it while on vacation. We were there twice and would have loved to stop in again before we left!

Nice little sandwich shop. We had both good food and good service. They offer a variety of healthier options. They have a nice selection of coffees also! We will be back again.

The breakfast bagel and New Orleans coffee we’re super yummy but pretty expensive for the size! The service was friendly. They did serve our coffees in plastic disposable cups though (even though we were eating in). This seems like an awful waste of plastics and harmful for the environment for no reason. I definitely would prefer to drink my coffee out of a glass or something reusable (and paper if it’s take away). 🌱

I wish this place existed where I live. Fresh squeezed juice, iced coffee (get the New Orleans style), salads, sandwiches & close to the St Charles tram 🚋 And the BIG plus for a tourist: wifi

Stumbled across this place while exploring. The food was delicious! Nice atmosphere too. We had quiche, which came with side salad, frozen coffee.... yum... and croissants. Worth a stop!

Lovely place to sit and take a good coffee, just I think is a little noisy in morning, it is not a place to sit and read a book.

Great because you can get your morning juice, freshly made, not the prebottled type! And, honey is available for your coffee.

I stopped in here for breakfast and it was quite good. The place was nice enough, the staff were friendly and served me really quickly. They have free Wi-Fi which is nice

Coffee was great and the breakfast sandwich was delicious.
