Auburn City Steakhose

Came in off the interstate for lunch. Great ambiance. Lots of work done here to save the look and feel of the old hardware store that was here for years, according to the hostess.The wife had coconut shrimp salad for lunch, very tasty.I had the Cuban sandwich. The menu indicated that it had a marinated component. Not really what I was expecting. The chef had marinated the beef portion of it in an odd flavor maybe with some type of vegetable as well?, making it somewhat drippy with this unusual taste.Not A bad taste, but not a good taste either. I was really expecting something close to just a plain pressed Cuban sandwich. I had asked if it was pressed and the server had checked and returned, saying that it was indeed. Unfortunately when it came back it was a typical loose sandwich. Not a Cuban, but something else...All in all tho, a great place to eat and meet friends, good service, friendly people. Quaint little town.

So good. Top notch service, friendly and food was great. My wife said top 5 restaurant's I've ever taken her to. Going to have our Christmas party here.

Excellent onion rings and chicken, I believe it was called Auburn City chicken. It was one of the top 5 meals I've ever eaten.

My husband and I got to check out the Auburn Steakhouse on our last date night. We each had prime rib (he had the actual entre and I had the prime rib salad). It was delicious!!! The best local steaks we've had. The restaurant itself is beautiful as well. Great experience.

I went a month ago and it was awesome. Ordered a cheese plate with many different kinds of cheese. Steak was cooked perfectly. My last visit a few days ago was almost the opposite. Cheese plate was normal cheeses. Steak way undercooked. Sent back and it was still undercooked. Soup was luke warm. Hopefully it was just an off night.

A steakhouse a step above your standard steak places, with a good atmosphere. The wait staff was informative, friendly and prompt. And they serve a good steak. Looking for a place for that special occasion, this is it.

The food is great every time I've eaten there or ordered take out. It's great to have them downtown!

We had a fantastic experience. Food was great. The servers were attentive and had real personalities. We ate in the library very private and comfortable. We will definitely return.

Meat was tender but they use too much pepper and veggies over cooked. Nice ambience in an old hardware store. Decent wine selection. Excellent service.

The only thing good about this is when they gave me the free chocolate cake look at the meal it will tell you why I won't be back

The service was impeccable, food was awesome, the whiskey selection was capitol. Here on business, WILL be back. Next will try the prime rib.. loved it

Not a great experience. Felt the food was not up to par with the prices. If you are looking to spend that much money you could go to Ruth's Chris for a little bit more money and have fantastic food and service. The prime rib was okay, nothing to rave about. The walleye fingers had bones in them and they give you 4 very small strips and charge 12 dollars. The steaks are not consistent as far as ordered temp goes. 2 people at the table ordered medium and one received medium well, the other received medium rare. Pretty sure the onion rings are frozen and not homemade so again for the money you aren't really getting the quality you should be. We won't be going back.

One of the best restaurants ever! The staff is also so kind and efficient. The food is amazing. Since we are in take out only times, we tried the delivery. They got our order to us within 45 minutes! To go was just as delicious as in the restaurant.

Love this spot. Great food and even better service. They accommodated my keto diet with a lettuce bun and threw some extras on just because... all keto friendly lunch is hard to come by when you travel and they made it happen.
