Atwater Brewery

I must say that I like a place with a clean restroom. Atwater's restroom was spotless! The atmosphere is fairly similar to many other places I have been, industrial chic. I really loved the reclaimed wood tables, I want one for my own home now. Lots of people were there for lunch with their kids and they have a small selection of board games near the front entrance to choose from to keep them occupied.The food was great, the wife and I shared the Greek pizza, pretzel sticks, fresh baked cookies, and a couple of flights of beers. Our server, Ciara, was courteous quick and attentive without being obnoxious nor annoying. The prices are a little on the higher side but are worth the cost. The location is near enough to the waterfront park that an afternoon stroll is a good way to work off some of those calories.This is definitely a place to bring out of town guests to give them a mix of old and new Detroit.

Amazing food, excellent beers. Try the beer brats on pretzel buns!

Update: The manager Mike handled everything so well! We were immediately apologized to, thanked for our feedback, and gave them a second chance. Was so glad we did! ^_^ food was great and I found a new amber to like!

The drunken fish tacos are the best tacos I've had in a really long time. The spiciness was just right. The red cabbage coleslaw really brings it all together. I'm going to be ordering them again very soon. They were very filling but I powered through because I didn't want them to go to waste.

It's great to see A local company help during our pandemic. We have several family members on the front lines and the only hand sanitizer that is available is Atwater Sanitizer. They have been making and donating their product to our front lines. This means so much when you see A small business give back to the community. This shows they truly ❤ about use the people of the community.

I'm not a big drinker but would still recommend coming in for the food. Also beer is great too! I've had quite a few Atwater varieties over the years and would sample some more. This is a nice place to stop in when you're in the area. The food was surprisingly good. Had a few different tacos and I am not complaining about any of them. The poutine was awesome too, scraped everything I could of the plate. They're a great looks brand and worth checking out their brewery. It's cool to be able to see into the brewery from inside the restaurant.

Wonderful brewery with private parking lot. Very accommodating staff. Took a private tour as part of a 40th birthday celebration. Provided with many samples and delicious food... nachos, soft pretzels with cheese and mustard dipping sauces and cheese bread with marinara sauce. All of which were amazing! Give this place a try-it is worth it. Many many different beer choices that are brewed in house.

Had a lot of good beers here. Got two flights so I tried 8 beers. None were bad. Probably 6 of them I would call amazing. These guys know when they have something good. There are about 6 different versions of their VJP beer, and the 3 I tried we're awesome.

The long island was a bit extra on the sour mix side. The steak philly ordered was good. The service was good also. Nice conversation!

Had the Better Life Choices IPA which was very good. Fish tacos very tasty a little on the hot side though. Friends had the vegan cauliflower chicken wings and they said they were good and the Michigan salad is a winner as well

Went to their Detroit Airport location, it was fantastic. The atmosphere was really cool, there were tons of people and the service was still great. Beer was cold, food was delicious, and I was able to relax prior to my flight. Highly recommend for a cold one!

Had a very nice experience at the Atwater Brewery, glad I stopped in here. Bartender was SUPER friendly and great to talk to, she made me feel right at home here on my first visit. Helped me to choose a beer that would suit my tastes, not something many bartenders would take the time to do so that was much appreciated. Ordered some food, and while they did actually mess up the order twice (asked for no cheese and had some on the food upon first serving and the second one that came out as a redo), the 3rd try was finally correct & the bartender insisted on making things right for us, which she very kindly did. It wasn’t a big debacle really, definitely could use more attention in the kitchen but we were joking around & laughing up front while this was happening, so it didn’t dampen the overall experience. Would definitely return here if in the area, pleased with this place!

This place was fantastic inside. The rooftop could use some umbrellas. Other than that the service was great and the food outstanding. It wasn't far from hotel by car and probably could've been walked too if you enjoy walking and follow the riverfront. I will definitely be returning here

A bit down the road from downtown, but convenient overall, and pleasant in this spot. Wide range of beer styles. None stood out as one-of-a-kind, but several were either no complaints" or "pleasantly surprising." Worth the visit.

Got two different beers and they were great!! However sadly all of the food was insanely salty! I couldn't even finish my meal and was sad because otherwise it was pretty dang tasty.
