Athens Restaurant

Had a nice meal and a glass of wine🍷🇬🇷They take you to kitchen and do a 'show and tell' of the specials. Most of us had seafood pasta, some had lamb and cheese spinach. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It is a small family run restaurant so reservation is recommended. Service was friendly and quick and noise level was conversation friendly. Restaurant was clean and bright. Will visit again when in Greektown 😋

Absolutely delicious food and great hospitality. When you arrive they invite you into their kitchen to show you the daily specials and explain what the main ingredients are. Really makes you feel like a guest not just a customer. If you aren't interested in the specials they'll offer you a regular menu with other things. I had one of the specials and it was amazing. Based on what I saw and smelled I think any of them would have been amazing!

The food tasted really good and portions we're large! Prob the best Greek restaurant I ate at. And I've been to Greece several times. Seemed very authentic. I would go back in a heartbeat. I'm actually sad that this restaurant is not in the city where I live.

We had a wonderful experience at Athens Restaurant on the Danforth. After leaving another restaurant that night after being served cold food we headed to Athens for real meal. We were greeted by George the owner was friendly and inviting. The calamari was fresh tender and well-seasoned. It was served with real yogurt tzatziki. The pork Souvlaki was full of juicy pork and nice ripe tomatoes. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

A cozy and delicious place to eat. Not heavy handed with salt and a very friendly staff. To see the best items, head I to the kitchen and ask the chef!

The. Best. Food. Have one of the specials that the Chef tells you about while you tour his kitchen! And the Baklava is too die for!

Amazing food, and wonderful ambience! If you love Greek food this is the place for you. It was very authentic. There was one thing. There was a party near us who was very loud. They told them several times to be quiet, but they would not listen. I know that everyone is out to have a good time, but it was getting a tad ridiculous.

Fantastic Greek food and variety. Very authentic and warm/living atmosphere. Not the typical dry and quiet restaurant as some have mentioned. We were greeted by the owner, who was welcoming as ever. Overall a great experience.

This is my favorite place on the Danforth, and I've pretty much tried them all. I have been coming here a couple times per year for many years, whenever I can make it to the area. It has never disappointed. Athens is a smaller, quieter, family run taverna style establishment. Recently renovated, but still retains its charm. The food is amazing, and it's always worth checking out the specials. The portions are generous and the price is reasonable.

Absolutely delicious food, charming atmosphere, good wine. They even bring you into the kitchen to chat with the chef and learn about the night's specials. Highly recommend.
