Athenian Owl

This is a great place to try Greek food if you are not familiar with it. The menu is varied so everyone in your party can find something they will like. Family run. Great service.

My wife and I tried Athenia Owl this weekend and we both give it a thumbs up. It is located in a strip mall on Baymeadows and is a nice little restaurant. For an appetizer we tried the saganaki since my wife is a big fan, it was very good. It seems to be wrapped in Filo dough with a little honey and sesame seeds on top. They also bring fresh warm bread with olive oil and herbs to dip it into. My meal also came with a cup of lentil soup, which was one of my favorite items of the night. We both tried one of the nightly menu specials, which came with rice, dolmades (Grape leaves stuffed with rice, ground beef and spices), Moussaka, and Pastitchio. They staff is also very friendly and attentive. It was all very good and we will visit again one day.

5 stars! Only because 6 isn't an option. Best food from our week long trip to Jacksonville. We'll definitely be back on our next time in town. Delicious food from appetizers to the dessert, even the bread taste like a family recipe
