Asia Nine’s design draws inspiration from different Asian cultures.Jewel tones and rich woods envelop guests with a warm and exotic atmosphere. A glowing washi paper sculpture illuminates the backwall, appealing to the curious spirits of guests. Facing the front window on a raised floor is Asia Nine’s sushi and oyster bar decked out with wood elements, enticing red tile accents, and custom painted tables and bar top. In the main dining area, slate tiles in shades of silver, grey and black cover the floor and compliment dark walnut tables and chairs, seating 100. A long spring green tile bar, seating55, flanks the right side of the room with a bamboo forest background highlighted with a steel waterfall. Directly across the room are large banquettes, wrapped in bamboo with a floating trellis overhead. Just past the banquettes and up the stairs is a cozy lounge, known as the VIP room, complete with a full bar and seating 40.

Great food and service. The portions are huge.

5-star rating on presentation. Had the lamb chops and a Cosmo. The sauce on the lamb was exquisite. The mashed potatoes were also tasteful, but the asparagus and broccoli were contradictory. The Cosmo however, helped diffuse the situation. Overall ambience was friendly, though the waitress was a little overwhelmed. Great menu and fair pricing, but only made the 3-star list due to service and choice in food pairing.

Not a bad choice for dinner if you are in the DC area. We had the the Lo mein and the crispy duck...both were very good and accompanied each other well. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful with the menu. My only complaint: they had too many "specials". I know that seems strange, but they had no less than six different specials going on the night we were there. It just made things a little confusing when trying to find the best option and value. We gave up on the "specials" and just ordered straight from the menu. In conclusion, it was a tasty meal.
