Asgard Irish Pub & Restaurant

I can't speak to whether the food is authentic, but it's certainly tasty, I really like their beef stew. The best part is of course, the decor. It feels like you're eating in an old nordic tavern.

There are Irish pubs and there are IRISH pubs. Sadly in my humble opinion this was not 100% Irish hence the dropped star! But still worthy of a visit.

Part 3 of Oscar and Jesse eat their way through Central Square. We ordered a burger, veggie burger and veggie chili. The food was good especially the fries. Veggie burger was of the grain kind but melded well with the condiments (guest reviewer Z approved). Greet beer selection. Chocolate cake big enough for 3.Boys say: interesting atmosphere. Early industrial meets medieval Ireland. Like a comic book. Very spacious. We felt at ease.

Just stopping in for a drink. Place looks great. Friendly staff. And the drinks are GoT themed. All good things!

Denied service with a valid US ID. Escalated issue to the “manager” who was wildly unprofessional. My colleague and I left without being served because the simple activity of of trying to patronize this bar was so adversarial. Do not compel this place to anyone.

Server becomes very hostile as soon as the tab is closed. Service feels extremely fake and unpleasant.

Rude, unprofessional manager. I was denied service because I presented a valid ID from the state of New Mexico. The bartender informed me that they do not accept international IDs and asked if I had a passport. I informed her that New Mexico was not international, but rather, was part of the United States. She nonetheless refused. She informed me that their sister restaurant had recently had a liquor violation, and they didn’t want to take any chances. I asked her to get the manager. The manager came over, and she was rude, combative, and annoyed. After reviewing my ID she decided that it was, in fact, valid US identification (or at least that she didn’t care), but her attitude was enough to convince us that we would never want to spend our money at this establishment. So we pressed on.

Fantastic place to hangout. Good options of food all around in this place.

Do not come to this place! One of the worst customer services I've ever experienced! On March 13, 2020, when I needed a napkin to dry my face since there were none at bathroom, the bartender gave me a bunch and ordered me to take them to the bathroom with a bad altitude. When I didn't do what he ordered me to do, he yelled at me! Then I talked to his manager for an explanation, the manager was apparently siding with him saying that the bartender asked me politely which was not true. Just bad customer service!

The food here is great and very fairly priced. Weekemd brunch is better than the regular menu.

Great good, friendly staff, and very cool ambiance. Totally recommended!
