The food was wonderful and Mrs Elizabeth took the time out of her busy day to explain the menu and recommend what I should try. I definitely will be back!!😋

It was our first time eating West African cuisine and we absolutely enjoyed it. It is an excellent establishment with very courteous service, good vibe music and an overall great experience with their "Ritual" of food tasting. Wish we weren't leaving the area soon, so we can frequent this hidden gem more often!

Amazing food, amazing service. I've had wonderful conversations there. I love to see the owner's whole family there as well. I think I get something new each time, and I've not been disappointed yet.

I love this place...the food is always fresh and hot! The restaurant is exceptionally clean. As soon as I walk in the door, I'm greeted with a wonderful smile! I'm a regular there! I was so thankful they opened back up for take-out!

This was, hands down, one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. As soon as you walk through the door they give you a warm welcome that makes you feel like family. New comers will appreciate the special ritual that takes place when you visit the first time. (Please visit to find out more ;)...you'll be happy you did!) Everything was well seasoned and tasty. The staff treat you like honored guests and I really appreciate the effort they put into making their customers feel happy. If you have not been to this place yet...Please try it!! You will not regret it.

The food was absolutely amazing. I am a foodie. This place made me feel like I was back home eating at my Great-Grandmother's kitchen table. I loved every morsel. Everyone was cheerful. I get excited when I eat good food. I was doing the happy dance the food was so good. I ordered 2 white pepper soups with goat, 2 pieces of pound cake, fried chicken, 2 fried donuts, and plantains. Of course I did not eat all of it. I went back for seconds after eating half a bowl of soup. I knew I might as well order more food or else I would be forced to return on Saturday. My little sister is a foodie too. She ordered the fried tilapia, blackeyed peas with rice, and .... listen the food is good. Get on down there and get yourself a plate. Your stomach will thank you later.

Wonderful... First time eating here. Excellent food, selection, prices. Will certainly return with friends. Very pleasant ladies in the kitchen and counter. One winner.

The owner and her husband are amazing you get to sample all the food before you place your order the spinach tuna and egg was delicious the Mac and cheese was excellent especially if you like spicy food me and daughter had a wonderful experience and we will be back.

I visited this lovely restaurant this past weekend with my Mom. If I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would! The food and staff were top notch in both quality and customer service. If you are in Columbia make the effort to visit. You won't regret it!

Elizabeth was just wonderful! She gave us a "taste tour" of the dishes and explained West African cuisine. We had the jollof rice and tomato stew with mackerel, the red pepper soup with goat meat, the spicy Mac and cheese and the fried plantains. Everything was delicious! Elizabeth is so welcoming and treats all her guests like family, we can't wait to come back!

Wonderful experience to try new food, with an incredibly hospitable and welcoming environment. The food prepared and options available were full of flavor and fresh, looking forward to going back!

I love this family owned restaurant. I love the way they allow you to sample every item before you place your order. The food is good, the portion was good the service was outstanding. I love the vibe and the music. I liked how they checked on us. I will definitely be back soon!

It's safe to say that Columbia is full of hidden treasure that could not be discovered unless someone else told you about it. Asanka Kitchen is at the top of that list and will continue to grow in popularity due to its delicious food and wonder customer service. Very welcoming friendly atmosphere filled with generous portions of food, served with a smile. I will be returning.
