Friendly staff and great Japanese seating upstairs. A little bit off the beaten path but would highly recommend. We ordered three dishes and they were all superbly made.

Came here on a whim and lucked out. The owners were very kind and the portions were just right. Very delicious and great attention to detail. My best tonkatsu experience in Japan.

First visit on Saturday night.Although it was listed as 22:00 last order, I lost my way by bicycle and at the last minute time…. When I tell you about it on TEL before arrival, my husband says, “The shop is up to 22:30, but if it's okay, it's okay to go past 22:00.†I was very grateful because I wanted to ask. There are many shops that want to close as soon as possible, so this response is difficult to see.My husband was as expected and the taste was better than I expected. The taste, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the personality of the owner, the smiles of the employees were the best. If you live closer, you want to go to dinner every day.It was a treat!

Japanese traditional Teishoku-ya. Good atmosphere. 1F is counter seats, 2F is all Tatami. Main dish (chicken, pork, fish, etc.) with white rice and miso soup. Also other side dishes.GHIBLI - NAKAJIMA-san’s signature on wall!!

We had the boiled chicken and fried chicken (not pictured here). Very cozy and family feel. There is no English menu but the friendly owners can speak basic English to advise what is on the menu. The portions were large and included Japanese appetizer dishes, miso soup, and the main course.

Great place, owners were super friendly. They know a little English to be able to tell you what kind of food they have. Place has a small entry and sign is in Japaness, so you can easily miss it if you aren’t too observant

Visited at noon on Sunday. I've always wanted to visit, but I didn't have a chance to go nearby at the right time, so I finally got there.Lunch is open from 12:00 to 14.30. On the second day, there seemed to be a lot of reservations on the second floor, and the second floor was full.I sat down at the counter on the first floor. This time I ordered the opening of the sword fish. The sword fish was a little small because it was not fishing, but it was a delicious sword fish with good fat.

Authentic and cosy Japanese restaurant. I had the tonkatsu and was very satisfied. It's a fair walk from Kichijoji or Mitaka station.
