Arthur Bryant's Barbeque

This barbecue establishment has been a Kansas City tradition since 1908. Yes, that is correct when father Perry first started with selling slabs in an alley for 25¢. His son's started the barbecue restaurant establishment in 1940's. You have to taste a Kansas City tradition here!

One of the best BBQ places in town. The staff can come off kind of rude, but I honestly don't mind it since the food is so good. I recommend you try this place at least once. I always buy a bottle of their sauce Everytime I am there.

I preferred their thicker BBQ sauce to the traditional but other than that it was absolutely amazing. Even when I drove up I could smell the goodness of BBQ in my car. Wonderful place!

Great food a must try had the burnt tip sandwich. If ever in KC, I highly recommend.

Classic KC BBQ definitely not classic KC sauce though vinegary instead of sweet definitely something to get used to but hands down best meat and they sell by the pound. Just fantastic!

We visited from AZ for a wedding. Stopped by for some AMAZING BBQ!! We had sandwiches, ribs,and sides ! Tons of great food for a fair price , would go back again 👍

Proof that an actual BBQ pit helps make better BBQ. Huge portions, great flavor, historic location, what's not to love?The beef (sliced brisket) is better if you allow them to include the point as well as the flat. The flat is more lean, but the fat in the point brings the flavor (pay attention BBQ secret) don't cheat yourself don't ask for lean.The fries are the best. The only sauce I like is the original. I have heard it is a version of Perry's sauce the original KC BBQ maven.

This is one of the best restaurants for carnivores! The food is simple but delicious and the portions are huge! They have the best BBQ I've eaten in a long time.

It just wouldn’t be appropriate to pass up a visit to Bryant’s when in KC for BBQ. The place is historic for what they have introduced to the public. Hands-down, their food is delicious. It’s not the best in KC; hence only four stars. The interior of the restaurant needs serious updating.

My husband and I started eating Bryant's Take out sandwiches and fries when our youngest son was a baby 60yrs ago. My grand daughter in Shawnee Ks had my 80th birthday catered to her house for 30 hungry adults and children last year. What a feast. We all loved it. We even had meat to take home and enjoy the next day. My husband would have loved it if he had been with us. He started it all. Now a family tradition. Thank you Bryant's

Best Kansas City BBQ! The sauce is so unique and unlike any of the others. They give you big portions and it is in a historic space that hasn't changed since at least the 70s. Al over the wall you can see pictures of past Presidents and celebrities who visit when they come to KC. This is a real bbq spot, not a big chain that is placed in the newest trendy area. Gotta love it.

They have good barbecue. Their original barbecue sauce is on the spicy side. The building is old. The restaurant overall definitely needs an update. The floors were so slippery close to the bathrooms I thought I was going to fall. If you’re looking for good barbecue only it’s a nice place to go. If you’re looking for good barbecue and a nice restaurant to have dinner with a date go somewhere else.

This place is so good. It’s a little out of the way from other BBQ places in KC, but their BBQ sandwiches are amazing. The sandwiches are huge with more than a generous helping of your choice of meat.

Best Barbecue ever! Kudos to the entire team on another fabulous visit. Portions are amazing, you can make five sandwiches out of the pile of beef you get on one order. I’ve been going here for over 40 years now and I have never had a bad experience . In my opinion it is the best barbecue in the world. Thanks for over 40 years of great food and service.
