I went in a skeptic and came out a fan. It's a Venezuelan restaurant serving, of course, arepa, a tortilla/pita like food made from ground maize dough. Because it's made from maize, I assumed I wouldn't like it (I always order flour over corn tortillas), but I was pleasantly surprised. It was really good.I ordered the arepa filled with shredded beef, queso, sweet plantains, and black beans. It was the perfect combination of flavors with the beef balanced by the slightly sweet plantains. The meal came out hot, fresh, and ready to eat all for $9.They also sell a variety of snacks and soft drinks from Venezuela including a really tasty apple soda drink.

Arepa Zone's "Full House" is sincerely delicious. It's not the cheapest food between Thomas Circle and McPhereson Square, but it is by far the tastiest.
