Great and quaint place inDC away from the beaten path. Food is really good tapas style. But a bit loud when the place is full. I recommend sitting outside for a more quiet experience.

This review is for my collective visits at this restaurant. I go to ANXO more for their pintxos, than their ciders. While I’ve had their pink ciders, I typically stick to their wine list instead. They have quite a few pintxos to choose from, but I often get the buñuelo de bacalao, gambas al ajillo, and the short ribs (which was off the menu on my last visit! I hope they bring it back.). In our latest visit, we had some anchovies, croquetas del dia, tortilla de patatas, summer risotto, and a few others. The staff here is always friendly and the wine selections, both by the glass and by the bottle, are interesting.I definitely recommend this place and will keep going back.

Fun place with interesting ciders. One that was best poured from a height. Food was excellent but a little expensive for the quality. The sampler is a good way to evaluate the different flavors.

This place is amazing! The food is outstanding, the cider delicious and the service great. Anxo is not only one of the best meals I have had in DC but one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Chef should be proud!

Tasty tapas. Definitely get the Paleta Iberica (acorn-fed, cured Spanish ham), so yummy. The cider is good but I think I may like a normal hard cider even more, vinegar vs etc. The Mushroom Tartlete's hedgehog mushrooms had a nice taste but nothing too special - the French horn? was a nice crunch. The grilled leg of lamb was flavorful and tender but the morel mushrooms had grainy sand. The Chorizo Iberico (acorn-fed, cured pork sausage) was a bit chewy but flavorful. Lastly, the Apple crepes were full of yummy applesauce

Good cider, especially if you're looking for Spanish and Spanish-style ones. Food was a miss.

What a great, unexpected little find in DC! Stumbled upon this because I was looking for something in DC food related and I ended up really enjoying the ciders! Service was friendly, attentive and extremely educated on their offerings, which is always a bonus. Looking forward to trying the restaurant they offer before I leave town

We have loved everything we've had at ANXO. We always order the short rib talk and the mushroom tartlette. Each order is one or two bites of food for one person, so keep that in mind. The entrees are bigger, but more like tapas size plates and not quite full entrees. The goat cheese flan is tangy and one of the layers is almost cheesecake like. The apple gateau is light and flaky and also very tasty. My favorite dessert is their housemade custard.

Very nice restaurant. We particularly like the whole fish. It was prepared to the right tenderness. Big thumb up to the Spanish Chef for excellent job done! Recommend to everyone. We will be back soon for sure.

Be warned: this place caters to families. I went and there were more kids than adults in the place. I will not return.

Love this place! Came here 3 times and everything was a great experience. My 4th time I'd dine in the 1st floor to see how it is. Stay tuned

This classy, yet comfy, spot is not to be confused with the cidery's brewery up in Brightwood. While still quite casual with chill sunday-funday vibes, you get table service and understated but sophisticated attention paid to the food. I've eaten at the bar for snacks and cider and received more attentive service than I did at a table upstairs, but I don't think that's necessarily always the case. Overall the food is well curated to pair with cider. The standouts are pintxos (just about any of them), poutine, and the pipe dreams toast. Everything is drizzled generously in olive oil, just how you'd have it in Barcelona. The no-rush-to-open-your-table feeling is also imported from Spain. Love a place that looks, tastes, feels, acts inviting.

Solid brunch with delicious ciders. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable. If there was a bottomless food and tasting option would resonate more with the brunch crowd. Overall great food, larger portions, wish I could’ve tried more

Amazingly delicious small plates. The cider flight was quite interesting and tasty as well. Everything is very reasonably priced.

Very cozy atmosphere, great tasting dishes and cider to wash it down with. Outside seating area is available. You may have to book in order to seat and eat when the restaurant is very busy. It’s a hipster joint. Live it.

Questions & Answers

Sorry for the late reply. Reservations are available through the Resy App on our website ANXOdc.com or by calling the restaurant at (202) 986-3795.

I would call. Not typically a family crowd but my guess is they allow it

It does not have a dance floor. But we have turned our table area into a party with no problems.
