I’ve been there 3 times. The food really is great, that’s a given. I also liked the ambience. Most of the waiters are very nice BUT : The last time I took my family there (they’re from Europe). We were 8, all had two dishes, deserts and lots of wine. At the end, my father handed in a signed check with what came to about 13% tip (the check was big!). The waiter then asked him if he liked the restaurant, and pointed that if he did, here they tipped 20%. My dad was very very embarrassed and paid the 20%. I think it was super rude and humiliating. Even the best and most expensive restaurants should never humiliate you this way for not tipping enough - and it’s not like my dad left 10 dollars there (the tip was about $90) So overall - if you’re a local, used to pay 20% tips - it’s a great place. If you’re a tourist visiting from abroad and not used to NY tips, be ready for serious humiliation.

The best experience besides the Ammatriciana tomato sauce is Lorrenzo, But seriously, one of the very best restaurant experiences I've found in New York, or Miami Beach

Fine dining and priced accordingly. Excellent wine list supported with a narrow but sufficient dinner menu. Food was fresh with great flavor. Recommend booking as venue filled very quickly on a cold mid week evening. Would go back!

Been to locations, NYC and Rome. Both are amazing and exceptional dining experiences. The food is mind blowing. Be prepared to pay, but you get what you pay for! This is a new standard for Italian food.

Me and My Wife, we both Love Italian Food. I personally know the owner and stuff. They are very kind and generous people. Prices are not that high, but comparing to the food, it’s cheap :)

Really enjoyed our dinner here - beautiful sense of arrival with friendly, meticulous staff. All of the food was absolutely delicious, with thoughtful, purposeful, and flavorful enhancements. To top it off the cocktails are expertly made, however, the wine list could be improved. Would highly recommend for date night or small groups!

The eggplant entree was great. The wild boar pasta for $30 was pretty mediocre and tiny - looked like half a portion. We both had to eat more food after we left (were 120 lbs and 175 lbs so not giant eaters to give you an idea) . Other reviewers comment on the size of the food so don’t think we’re the only one.

I'm not sure why this place got good reviews. The pasta tasted like it was from a box with Prego sauce and the eggplant dish was tasteless. If you want good Italian, go across the street to Oregano. That place is amazing!!!

I ate at the bar, and wow. This place is truly something amazing. I highly recommend this place if you like authentic Italian food. The pasta dishes are out of this world! So fresh and hand made. Great service. And great drinks. the dessert was phenomenal. I come to this place every time I’m in brookyln.

Went this restaurant on christmas eve. Great food, perfect ambiance. Staffs could be a bit more friendly. I liked the christmas special entree, hope that could make the menu.

Can’t speak on behalf of the restaurants eat-in atmosphere but after ordering food from around the city for the past decade this was the worst order my wife and I have ever received. For $75 you’ll receive a bland house salad, an ok caprese app, 2 containers of pasta that you could boil on your stove and dump some ragu on top of, and then remove 50% of it so you’re still hungry, and 2 cannolis that tasted like they were filled with whipped creme. 1st review I’ve ever written and only because I’ve never felt so ripped off, plenty of restaurants you can order from for better food for half the price. Avoid at all cost.

Classic Italian food with upscale vibe. Bringing its expertise from Rome, this restaurant is like no other in Williamsburg. The wine selection is all Italian but there is always a perfect match for every dish. If you cannot get a reservation, eating at the modern yet warms looking bar is an option. Great for dates and nice meals with loved ones.
