1. This is THE BEST gelato in NYC. I don't care what you've heard about certain other places in Little Italy. Nothing compares2. The flower cone. A truly unique presentation. And (guessing) maybe the gelato has to be kept colder for it to keep its form? I don't know, but IMO it changes the texture in a very pleasing way.3. It's on the Upper West side. It's a bit more $ than downtown. Get over it. It's worth it.If you're visiting NYC in the vicinity of Lincoln Center, Museum of Natural History, Strawberry Fields, or the like . . . get off the beaten Broadway and Columbus paths and go an extra block to Amsterdam. Well worth it.Also, they have chocolates, biscotti, macarons, and other delights. The macarons are "ok", but filled with gelato . . . makes everything right

Tried the classic size with 3 separate scoops of chocolate, coffee, and peanut butter. Thought the peanut butter was best of the three. This was good gelato but certainly below par compared to everything we sampled during a trip to Italy.

Yummy gelato and you can mix and match flavors.
