Most delicious Indian food and lovely outdoor eating area. Staff are very accommodating. I always eat too much!

We went there Saturday night and the restaurant was particularly crowded. There was a table that had about 20 people and, as a result, we had to wait for our food for over an hour and 20 minutes. The food was good but the wait was excessive. It would normally be horrible but it gave our table more time to talk. I was also surprised that no one apologized for the delay because normally they have excellent customer service.

Great tasting food, very friendly wait staff, and spectacular ambiance. We went for dinner after the holiday season. The interior of the resteraunt was decorated in a traditional way with lights and winter greens. We sat in the outside section (the section had garage type doors which could be opened in the summer), which was very comfortable despite it being cold outside. They had two fires going, which really added to the experience. The staff was fantastic. They were very attentive and polite. At one point a waiter went above and beyond by offering to show my mother the outdoor garden she was wondering about aloud. It made her experience that much more memorable.

This was not our first visit to this terrific Indian restaurant. Situated in a a beautiful 100 year old building in a a good neighborhood, we dined semi-outside this week. All the food was great, including the cardamon ice cream for dessert, though a flourless chocolate tarte is hardly Indian cuisine. I especially enjoyed the halibut and corn and avocado salad. The prices are not inexpensive, but upscale prices with upscale food; well worth it. The service is quick enough and impeccable. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The ambience is romantic and peaceful. There is free parking on the street, just outside the entrance. We three all enjoyed our dining experience tremendously, and cannot wait to return soon! Check it out yourselves!!!

We tried for the first time based on recommendations. Restaurant is beautiful and the service was great. The food was not the best-pakoras were hard as rocks and my vegetable dish was bland. The serving sizes were also very small-which for the price was a bit off-putting. Lastly, our reservation was made through open table, and the restaurant is not participating in allowing reviews at this time after receiving poor reviews on Valentine's day. Our dining was on 2/15. It sounds like a change in management seems to be impacting the quality of the experience. I hope they are able to address these issues-the experience could be better.

Its milder than you regular indian food and they do not use true indian ingredients. I would call this a fusion restaurant. We loved the outdoor seating though.

This restaurant used to be one of our absolute favorites, unfortunately our recent experience was so disappointing - the food was really terrible! The alu chaat was so overpoweringly spicy that it was inedible (thrown out) and had an odd slimy mouth-feel. The Chicken Tikki Masala sauce was gelatinous with not much flavour - although I shall say that the chicken pieces were nicely cooked. The rice pudding was liquid and my daughter drank it. The naan bread was lovely. We were also over-charged. I do hope that they return to their former excellent food.

We loved our experience here. Cozy and delicious meal next to one of the two fireplaces! Service was great. My only suggestion would be to have some soft music playing. It was VERY quiet.

Good mix of modern and traditional Indian food. Specials have a nice variety. Some outdoor seating. There's a lunch buffet option but have only come for dinner. A bit more pricey than some of the other local Indian restaurants, but has good service and other menu choices that the others don't.

Here's the deal: this is a very charming restaurant with a classic vibe to it. The servers are all impeccably dressed and are very attentive. The patio view is also quite nice. However, the food is bland. And it's not just me. My girlfriend who is Bengali also thought the food was unusually bland. It looks lovely but there's no flavor which is really unfortunate. A personal rule of thumb I have about the authenticity of a restaurant is to look at the patrons. I should see Indians at an Indian restaurant, Mexicans at a Mexican place, etc. Most of the time, this is true. Let me tell you not only were there primarily white people (just an observation), there was a kind of imperial feel to the place. Maybe it's just me. If non-Indians are the primary patrons then that would explain the food being bland. I hope it was just an off day because it's such a lovely place.

We love this restaurant. Delicious food, impeccable service and the setting is first class. When its warm out and the rear doors are open the patio seating is just really nice. On our last visit we sat by the fireplace. On top of all that, it's a great value. We will return. Thank you Ambassador Dining room😀

This used to be my favorite restaurant when coming to the area to visit relatives. Now under new ownership the food is not very good. I can make better indian food myself at home following Indian Food For Dummies. So sad to say I wont be coming back.
