Great terrace cafe right by the Lady Bird. Tranquil, clean, nice coffee, okay pastries. Next to the rowing club and kayak rentals.

Great place for breakfast

Come here for the awesome view. It is the only riverfront cafe in the area. Food is below average. Coffee is okay. I probably would not be here if not for the view

Great place to hang out on the river front and enjoy a karbach.

Things I enjoy:- The location is unmatched by any other coffee shop in Austin. I work within walking distance, and the walk to Alta's is beautiful and their back patio is gorgeous. It's a great place to hang out to work, socialize, or relax.- There are kayaks and paddleboards that can be rented from the boathouse beneath Alta's, so it makes for a nice early morning one-two punch on the weekends.- Good drink variety including coffee, wine, beer, and ciders.A few downsides include: - Finding parking if you have driven. There is very little parking along the street leading up to Alta's, and it's almost always full. There's also a parking lot attached to the 4 Seasons Hotel, but the rates are $16/hour!- The umbrellas on the patio are mostly broken, so there isn't a ton of shade if it's a blazing hot day.- The food menu is limited, with only a few sandwiches.

Really quiet and decent coffee shop if you want to be by the water. Parking unfortunately is terrible. We tried to come back twice after our first time and couldn’t make it. But overall, they have great coffee selection.

Ideal spot for a coffee when walking Ladybird Lake. Coffee good, spare pastries, amazing position makes up.for the zilch vibe. Could be a.mini Mozart if it tried.

Alta’s café is a perfect coffee meet-up spot with spectacular views of lady bird lake in downtown Austin. The staff is very friendly and the menu selections are all excellent complements to a hot cuppa coffee while sitting outdoors at one of the high-top or picnic tables on the deck. There are also a number of nearby walking, jogging and biking paths and easy access to river kayaking rentals.
