Food was really good. Service could have been better! Had three different people take drink orders and forgot our first drink order. Was busy but not enough to switch servers or ask how everything was tasting. Everything else was great. Would return.

This is our go to place when we are in Toledo. Great food and prices to go with it. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. Good coffee too.

Food is homemade in their kitchen I have eaten at their original restaurant on Lewis Avenue 25 years ago and they are still great at the Monroe Street location. Way to go. The staff are great and friendly. And very attentive and always with a smile too! Way to go Al Smith's Place. Glad to see you still doing the best!

As a otr truck driver, I’m normally stuck with truck stop food or quick meals. My employer put me up in the hotel right behind this restaurant and wanted to grab some lunch before hitting the bed. This place was absolutely amazing. Definitely a home cooked meal kind of feel. If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely be stopping.

Great food! Large portions! Only criticism is being charge 50 cents for mayo on the side to use on my sandwich. I do not like being nickeled and dimed when it should be taken into account with the posted prices.
