Good... Lord. This was the food highlight of my trip to Chicago. Got the hot beef sandwich with provolone, sweet peppers and dipped (if it's not dipped, you messed up). It was under $25 for 2 sandwiches and a large fry (buffalo, blue cheese). A+!

Best beef in Chicago! Got the combo, which includes an itallian sausage inside, dipped (of course!), with hot peppers (meh warm at best). Out-freaking-standing!

This is the best place for Italian Beef in Chicago, hands down. Beef is perfect, bread is soft. And the gravy is perfect! I prefer mine just wet so my bread isn't soaked, but you can get it dipped if it's your thing.

If you want Italian beef, you NEED to go to Al's. It is so good. Went on recommendation from a co-worker and it was worth the experience. I asked for extra gravy on the side. This is a super get your hands dirty meal, but also a really good one

Everyone told us to get some Al's Italian Beef while we were in Chicago, but I didn't find this to hit the spot. It tasted like a typical steak sandwich.

I got a beef sandwiches dipped, and I absolutely loved it! The bread was warm, fluffy and moist, and the meat serving in the sandwich was generous. Would recommend. (Door was spoilt when I was there, not sure if it's been fixed but remember to push the door close behind you!)
