Staff awesome....had the steak that was 80 percent fat so had to send back but the steak salad I got instead was much better. Oysters ❤❤ No one bothers u and the atmosphere is cool.

So happy to have Alison down the block. While there’s lots of food in the neighborhood, this restaurant fills a void with great service, a creative menu and fresh, delicious food. The room is nice and comfortable too. Definitely 5 stars!!!

Our first time was two weeks ago. My husband and I stopped by for a quick drink. We met one of the owners Gary and he gave a us brief history on the purchase of this great place. We are from the neighborhood and are glad to have a place with great food and staff. We will definitely come more often as the second visit was as good as the first!

Their ambience is really nice, and definitely new to the neighborhood. The menu is all over the place and it’s hard to say what the cuisine they are trying to represent (pasta, hummus, tacos, burgers, steak?). We ordered steak and a vegetarian pasta. The steak was excellent, but the pasta was disgusting. It was basically a vegetarian taco (some sort of refried beans, fresh cream, etc) made into bucatini pasta. I could not even bare the smell. But I want to make sure to note that the restaurant manager comped it, yet only after defending the dish as “our food is actually really good, some people really like the dish or they don’t.” I guess I am one of those who really don’t like it, but my impression was they couldn’t take feedback.

I was wandering around looking for a place to work in by accident. Fishcake and Grilled Octopus It's a truly surprising restaurant. Recommended

Adorable new place in East Harlem. Had the kale salad w salmon. Had lunch with friends spent 2 hours talking. Music was too loud. Service was pleasant. Will return soon.
