Great korean food, fast service, nice staff.

Last night it was rainy and my partner and I wanted comfort food. The restaurant wasn't as busy as usual, and we got a 4-top in the little front room to ourselves. We ordered some of the usuals -- some topokki to start, chicken soondubu, beef bulgogi, and chicken bokum. It was more food than 2 people could possibly eat, and it was glorious. It satisfied us in the way that only complex, warm, spicy food can.We put the leftovers into containers and then scraped the edges of the cast iron dishes they were served on to get the caramelized bits of flavour bombs that hide there. Now I'm eating it again for lunch, and the complex flavours and tender meats managed to survive even the microwave. It's all still delicious, made even better by the tub of kimchi I brought home to keep topping off leftovers and maybe some ramen later.If you like spicy delicious food, you should go here.

Spicy squid and gamjatang and beef kalbi

Excellent and authentic korean food. We took the hot pot for two, the appertizers are fresh and tasty, the portions are generous, the pork is teeeeender and the broth is very flavorful. The prices are fair and the staff is quite helpful and friendly, this restaurant has so much going for it.

LOVELY house-turned-college-kid-enclave. VERY comfy inside. SUPER friendly staff. My spicy beef noodle soup & spring rolls were delish... DON'T DO TAKEOUT (like I did) - STAY and ENJOY the ambiance !!

To have the opportunity to experience food from different cultures such an advantage of living in Ottawa. Great food, nice and friendly service, plenty of parking for a downtown location.

This place is always full and the food is always delicious. A super affordable hidden gem only a couple streets away from the Market and Sandy Hill. The restaurant's ambiance is very homey, the portions are generous and the food is straight up delicious. I recommend arriving early on weekend nights as it can get quite busy and the line up can sometimes be quite long, however the wait is entirely worth it. I don't believe they take reservations, so be cautious with large groups.

I dined here last night with my party of 8 and our experience was exceptional! We had ordered the spicy hotpot which was large enough to feed all of us! The sides were also delicious and even better, they were unlimited. Great and friendly service. Definitely would recommend and would come back.

Best Korean food in town! Gamjamtang is always my number one fav. Tofu soup is perfect too when you are not so hungry. Service is always great! They are just friendly and responsive. Sometimes you have to wait a bit though, depending on the times you got there. But let me tell ya, it’s worth the wait!
