Akida Japanese Restraunt

I've been going to this restaurant for years now with my family for birthday celebrations. They've always had great sushi and the staff are very friendly!

Small authentic and down right delicious. Never a disappointment. With quick friendly service and an open styling, this place is a cozy retreat for a nice date. Seats fill up fast at rush times, very few tables. Planning or timing is important if you want to cat h a meal here on a weekend.

My go-to reasonably priced sushi place in all of Richmond. Service is great, the place is tiny (so there is sometimes a wait to be seated) but well worth the dinner special where you get 2 sides and 2 rolls.

Favorite sushi spot in Richmond. Their combo meal (salad or soup, appetizer, two rolls plus one specialty roll) is a really good deal. They are usually busy and could use a bigger space, so recommend doing take out.

Great sushi place. Super friendly staff. Prices very reasonable. They have dozens of specialty and unique rolls, as well as nigiri and sashimi but their rolls are what’s best here. Lots of noodle and rice dishes but I usually end up with sushi and edamame. Small but makes it a true RVA find!

This is one of my go to spots for Japanese in Richmond. The sushi is pretty good and I LOVE to order their chicken udon when I have a cold or am not feeling well. It's a great replacement for chicken noodle soup.

The fish was extremely fresh and the waitress was prompt. Couldn’t ask for more!

absolutely love this place!! only advice is be content waiting for 5-10 minutes for a table during dinner. staff is always efficient and pleasant but the food is why I come back. always get their inari pockets and one of the special combinations.

First Sushi I ever fell in love with. The staff were very friendly. I went there on a whim with someone else who loves sushi. I have tried sushi before from other places but I did not like it. Almost gave up on it. I didn't pick out what we were having so I didn't see the ingredients because I would talk myself out of it. So we ended up with some California rolls and the Akida Rolls. I ate with an open mind and it was one of the tastiest foods I have put in my mouth. It was an enjoyable experience and I can't wait to go back to that hole in the wall even though I now know what I ate.

Good stuff. Small restaurant with good fresh seafood. Street parking is not bad at this location. I have eaten there many times. Never disappointing.

Great sushi, very fresh and reasonably priced. The restaurant is small but quick service. They also offer takeout.
