My goodness this is a not so hidden gem in the Star City! The service is so friendly and personable, and the food hits all the spots. We both had the double cheeseburger and an order of crinkle fries. The burgers were juicy and well seasoned, the sesame seed bun was soft and warm, and the tomatoes were red and tasty (and it's November!). Fries were hot and crisp. We can't wait to get back for breakfast!

Love this diner. A hidden gem of roanoke that you must check out. The owners are always super nice.

A mom and pop restaurant that is easily missed in downtown Roanoke. I am glad I stopped by to eat. What I had was a the Aesy specialty - Bologna sandwich with egg and cheese. That sandwich came in a burger bun and it is huge! And it costs less than $3.50. This is a great place. My only suggestion is to go in either on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday as they are really busy on Fridays.

Food is delicious 😋 , owners are so friendly and care about the quality of food they make. Home made vegetable beef soup (family recipe) and tuna, chicken salad, macaroni salad, just to name a few. Killer cake made the old fashion way by hand. Recommend coming and checking it out. Thick fryed bologna sandwiches !!! Cheeseburgers! They have something for everybody.

Cook that was working in the back was doing prep work without a hairnet or gloves on. Then grabbed the trash can to discard then went directly back to prepping without washing his hands or putting gloves on. Only reason me and my guest stayed and ate was the other cook making our breakfast did however have gloves on.

This place is AWESOME! Met the owners that run an amazing old school diner. Staff is very friendly and clean. Must haves are the burgers and the Jumbo drinks with free refills! Food is so classic yet delicious. Love this place will be back!

First time there. Folks where right kind. Got 2 Bacon Egg & Cheese biscuits. The second I heard fresh eggs crack and a whisk beating against the bowl I knew it was going to be a good breakfast!
