Aangan Indian Cuisine

Usually order from this place and have a good experience, but I ordered for pickup today and found this when I got home. There was mold on the gajar halwa. So awful. How can I trust that the rest of my food was handled properly?? Had to dispose of the rest of my order. Also their takeout special has gotten considerably smaller and is still $18. This place is simply not worth it anymore.

My husband, and I went here on a whim and absolutely fell in love with the atmosphere, the food. The people were quite nice. Reasonable prices too!!! I highly recommend this place!

BEST INDIAN FOOD ON UWS. The chicken tikka masala is to die for. Great for dine in or take out. Small restaurant but upscale decor. Definitely a neighborhood staple.

Really good neighborhood Indian! Good lunch specials - everything comes out at once in copper cups on one plate. Each is small but all together it's a filing meal. Like many Indian restaurants, it has attentive service. See my pics - it's a cute place. Not huge, so get there early or late for dinner or book a table. Couple things to work on, when they take phone orders, it's a small place and they're yelling the order throughout the tranquil restaurant and the men's room really smelled - that's gotta get fixed.

Service was slow but the servers were nice and kind. The foods were also great especially considering the price. It's hard to find places that serve curry cheaper than this place with such quality in Manhattan. Lunch menus are even cheaper than those in Seoul, Korea! In short, I definitely recommend this place.

I wish I could have left a comment without giving a star. I took my girl there to eat since we have been getting into Indian food we thought we would try this place . First off they have the worst customer service my girl has a walker and looked at her like she wasn’t welcomed then wanted to out her walker in the worst spot in the restaurant , bathroom was small and caulking job sucked , the Briani rice was horrible and dry dry D-R-Y . I’ve been to better establishment that served better food had customers service and bigger. Lastly aside from having horrible service they were harassing me and. Y girl friend to give them a tip on the horrible meal which only came out to 30 bucks , literally harassed us to the point all the staff were standing at our table . More like arrogant not aangan.

Very welcoming staff. Tried vegetarian options there. Appetizers: Tried Pav Bhaji, was really good. Main course: Dal Makhani, Garlic Naan, Butter Naan. Main course was good. Dessert: Gazar Halwa. Too sweet for me but it was edible.
