I love this place! Daily special soups , delicious sandwiches that are great but also done with a consideration to the environment and the local economy. If you're into awesome good and supporting local business this place is for you. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options fyi 😉

An Athens gem. Delicious baked goods, sandwiches, etc plus art, crafts, wine, cheese and more for sale .... all locally produced and served by people making a living wage. A community hub. And a good place to shop for local treats/souvenirs. We came back a second time for breakfast. Excellent!!!!

The grilled cheese panini is absolutely to die for. Cute, quaint market attached to this lovely shop.

Delicious food sourced locally, love the activist atmosphere, great small batch wine selection.

Village Bakery is a decent place to grab a bite. Their coffee is good and I enjoy being able to grab another cup instead of waiting on service. The food is delicious and you feel good knowing it's locally sourced.

My, oh, my. I visited the Village Bakery & Café for the first time the day before Thanksgiving. My fiancée's mother took my fiancée and myself there for lunch after we arrived in town from Cincinnati. I ordered the Houdini Panini. Delicious. My fianceé let me sample her smoked trout salad, which was equally tasty. I definitely plan on returning the next time I visit Athens.
