Favorite fried fish spot, and I love the prawns. We always stop by when we step in the area.

Has good fish and chips, better than what I had in London, they could keep the dinning area neater.

Eh, it's fish and chips. I know it's been around forever, but Owl n Thistle was way better food and price wise. If this place had cheaper prices or larger portions, it would be worth it beyond the history.

Loved this place! It’s the best fried fish we’ve had since moving to Washington. We shared a side of pickles and they were delicious, too. The fries are hand cut, which aren’t my thing, but my husband loved them. They even have an outside area that’s dog friendly - including a bowl of fresh water. The customer service today (Sunday) was really great; we’ll definitely be back and recommend it to friends!

Love the spot. Especially the slaw and garlic malt vinegar. Really like the mid century style and history of the spot. Kinda sad that it's gonna change and be part of a huge apartment but hopefully it's good for them! Super good check it out!

Amazing fish and chips!!! They served a large amount of fish: I ordered a single and it came with more fish than the doubles I've ordered elsewhere. Mmmn, mmmn, mmmn! Yummy. AND when I asked for vinegar they gave me garlic vinegar which I almost wanted to drink from the little container they gave it to me in. The person who helped us was a jack of all trades, doing everything. He was also VERY friendly too. Thanks Spud F&C!

A classic Seattle icon. Over the years the food portions have gotten much, much smaller and much, much more expensive. Nice, friendly staff

They do it right. Crispy, tasty fish and fresh fries. Their fry station is right behind the counter and your food comes out immediately after it's finished, all the cook has to do is turn around and place it on the counter. Pretty great setup, i'm sure they're consistent. They also have beer, I don't see it really advertised anywhere but it's there. 4 dollars for a 16oz rainier is reasonable in Seattle. Jones soda dispenser too btw, and I've heard good things about their shakes.

Great fish and chips, there's always a line and the food is always fresh. You can't go wrong with this choice!

Clam chowder was very good. We got the prawns and scallops. Both we're great. The homemade tartar sauce was in point.

Questions & Answers

The property was sold, and is going to be demolished and a new building constructed. No specific date given yet. Once the nee building is finished, Spuds will re-open at that same location. There are two other Spuds locations. One on Alki (owned by Ivar's) and another in Edmonds (another private owner). While they all share the name, they are not the same business.

Not sure but the same folks have operated it since i was in college in the 1980s. All the other spud are owned by ivers i think

Probably farmed. It was cheap overpriced fish.
