Paul was an outstanding server. it was our first time at the restaurant and we were celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary. He was attentive, articulate, and made very good suggestions. He listened to our questions and anticipated our wants very well. we usually don’t write reviews less than an hour after a meal, but the quality of Chef Zakarian’s offerings and Paul’s excellent service made this an experience to remember. we will be back. thank you

I visited the Diplomat Hotel during a Valentine‘s Day weekend getaway and dined at the Point Royal restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The breakfast was buffet style and we were impressed from start to finish. Waiters and waitresses were available to take drink orders and In the meantime patrons could peruse the multitude of breakfast options Which included but was not limited to omelettes, breakfast sweet potato and regular potatoes, sausage, nova lox, French toast, grits, fresh fruit, and so much more. The orange juice was so fresh and tasty and the buffet options were nicely seasoned and fresh as well. The restaurant is very clean and they are attentive to the needs and certainly equipped to handle the influx of restaurant goers. All in all, it was a pleasure to be able to dine at the restaurant and we will certainly be back to partake again!

My husband and I attended during Superbowl Weekend. We decided to go to Point Royal because we are fans of the chef. Paul was an excellent server. Very attentive and so friendly. Definitely made my experince worth while. The restaurant decor was private and chic. The menu was exquisite. I am definitely coming back!

Service was good. Place was nice. Burger was oversalted and undercooked in some areas. Bleh. The fried chicken sandwich was chewy. Idk what part of the chicken that was. It was a hot mess. The fries sucked. And 18% added gratuity. Kinda rude. Im all about paying a premium but atleast make sure your damn dishes are top notch, the least you can do for a 55 dollar bill for a water and two sandwiches.

The breakfast buffet had a variety of choices, including omelets made to order, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, pastries, fruit, bagels, etc. The coffee was hot and orange juice was fresh. My waiter had a great sense of humor, was helpful, and very attentive. The prices were VERY high. It was $25 a person and that was only because the conference was picking up some of the tab. It's usually $35, but includes coffee and orange juice. :-)

Excellent food and ambiance. Our waiter Paul was outstanding and delivered an excellent dining experience. The Fried Calamari with garlic aioli is a must have when going as a starter. The Grouper and Hanger steak was amazing. Truly enjoyed our anniversary dinner visiting here. Thanks Paul!
