Mana Food Bar

A little to quite for me. Even the server was almost whispering, but very nice and helpful. But the 2 items we had were delicious. We had the beets, and the sesame noodles, and would go back for that alone. I am not vegan, but didn't miss the meat. After that and a round of drinks we left for a place that didn't make us feel like everyone was listening to our conversation

Consistently over many years this has been the best vegetarian restaurant in Chicago. I've been here so often I almost know the menu by heart, which can be a curse because the menu does not change that much and sometimes leaves me wanting something different, but I keep coming back. I went here with a vegan once and there were plenty of selections, but most were quite spicy, so there in the future maybe they will balance that out a little. The creamy mushrooms with polenta are one of my favorite all time dishes. I always get the rice noodles with curry. Sliders are fun a few times.

Amazing!! Everything was delicious and so fresh. We got the fresh juice drinks and the kung pao dish. Service was really fast as well. Loved it

Fantastic staff, the food was vegetarian and delicious. Very filling. Noise levels made it a bit hard to hear but I was enjoying my food too much to listen anyways.

Meat-free but delicious none the less, I was in a party of six so we ended up sampling most of the food menu and everything was great. It is a bit pricey but alcohol does drive the price up. Personally, the Mana Sliders were my favorite

An excellent find in terms of food and ambience. They have quite a lot of warm and cold small plates. Good collection of drinks, as well as desserts. Although the space is pretty small, and accommodates a small crowd, the food is excellent. The service is good, and fast. Highly recommended to reserve a table since the wait can be long, especially for large groups. The baked goat cheese, mushroom saute and gnocchi are highly recommended. The devil's backbone is a fun spicy drink to try, for those who like serrano peppers.

These place has a great vibes

Five years ago, I would have rated this restaurant 5 stars. The food was delicious, the ambience was great, and the staff were very attentive. In the 5 years since I first visited, I have noticed that I enjoyed fewer and fewer items on the menu. I recently visited this past weekend, and I was only really enthusiastic about the mushroom sliders, which have been consistently great. It seems that Mana has removed a lot of the menu items that were exceptional. The ambience and service are still great, and the ample seating (with outdoor patio) is definitely a plus.

Mana is a great restaurant with a nice patio. I love that their menu has helpful notations for gluten-free and vegan. I highly recommend the spicy tofu, their homemade pickles, and their juices. Really, I've enjoyed everything I've had here (been multiple times). At times their host stand and wait staff can be a bit short on courtesy when it comes to seating as Mana is almost always packed. Also, I wish they were open earlier in the day to enjoy the patio.

This place was great and not too pricey. The ambiance and service was perfect. I am a vegetarian and there were so many interesting looking options. The portions are small so you can order many things, which is what I did. I definitely recommend the slider!

A friend took me for my birthday last January, and I’ve been back several times since. I just wish the place was bigger so I can get in last minute more often! I eat mostly vegan and they have some fun creative tasty options. Polenta w mushrooms is not vegan, very rich but delicious. Share with a friend.

This has been our go-to date night spot since moving to Chicago. Great drinks, great vegetarian options, but the best part is, their vegan options are just as good... they have plenty of plates that don’t NEED cheese or cream to make them delicious, and I really appreciate restaurants that go above and beyond to accommodate any diet.

We went on a Wednesday night expecting it to not be so busy, and it really wasn't. There were a few other tables aside from us but it wasn't packed by any means. We ordered several plates and our food took an hour to get to us. No one ever came to check on us or apologize, and several people came in AFTER us and received their food before. The food itself was good, but the service and wait time were bad enough that we wouldn't go back.

Mushroom sliders are one of the best bites in Chicago. Good saki cocktails.

My vegetarian friends and I stopped by to say a fond farewell to this establishment. Everything we ordered was well made, and the server was very accommodating, even taking something we ordered off the bill when there was a delay in it coming out of the kitchen. I'm looking forward to see what the next evolution of Mana will be. This place will be missed by many.
