When planning my trip to Springfield, Missouri, I decided to give George's a try since it had great reviews. The meal started with chips and salsa. I was happy that the chips were not salty as most chips are. And the salsa...can I just say heavenly?! The salsa was a nice blend of spicy and sweet. It is the first time in a long time that I actually finished the chips and salsa. Then came the chicken fajitas...they smelled, sounded, and tasted delicious. Check out the pics and the video that I posted. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am picky when it comes to Mexican food, so for me to say that I would actually come back again, is a big deal. Not only would I come back, I would definitely recommend this place.

I got the french toast and a fried egg. Both were cooked perfectly. The french toast used a perfect type of bread, sliced thick, and it was great with just butter and powdered sugar. It also was cooked quickly despite them being busy.

I love home town diner food and this place is perfect for it! If you're running low on funds I suggest the recession-proof breakfast that comes with a ridiculous amount of food for a ridiculously low price. The crowd is typically older but that never stopped me.

Wonderful place for breakfast! Their biscuits and gravy are my guilty pleasure. Omelets are big enough to split. And they've recently remodeled... so now they're trendy-chic! Make a point to visit. You won't be disappointed!

I’ve lived in Springfield for over 40 years, but I had never been there until just a few months ago. Now I go at least a couple times a month. I work with individuals with disabilities and they love it as much as I do! Their wait staff is top notch and we have always had a great experience! Take a chance and go! I bet you’ll become a regular just like me!

George's was BUSY when I went an a weekend around 1030am. Most were there for the breakfast options if what I saw glancing around as I found a spot to sit down was any indication. I ignored breakfast in favor of the all you can eat Mexican dinner. A taco a beef burrito enchilada style, rice, and beans to start... The enchilada sauce was great the ground beef in my taco and burrito was hot and well seasoned, and the lettuce, tomato, and what looked to be mozzarella cheese was fresh. The salsa served at request is a house recipe according to the menu and was good if not great. The service was very good for the packed house Andi would return to George's again to further explore the menu.
