Fort Ground Grill

Friendlier than they need to be and delicious as all get out. A staple of downtown dining, Fort Ground Grill has grown up with this little lake city. Great breakfast and lunch options. Served simultaneously.Pro tip: choose the mac and cheese as a side.

Service was very good. Had the Fish and Chips. The fish was served very dark brown with actual blackened portions. It was a shame because the fish seemed to be very good quality and a nice portion as well. We observed two other diners served the same much too dark fish. Someone needs to tell the cook what Golden Brown looks like.

The Clam Chowder is the best in the area, with lots of clams and fewer potato. Also the Cobb Salad is the best in this area.

Decent food staff was friendly enough.

Favorite local pub in all of North Idaho. Great food, great people, great prices and fun atmosphere. Best Eggs Benedict and best French Dip Sandwich! You will not be disappointed when you go to Fort Ground Grill. I highly recommend it!!

Food is decent.. but the woman working the bar area was unfriendly... and most often times when we visit we are disappointed in the service.

Just visited The Fort for the first time for breakfast. Are you kidding? Best food, atmosphere and Adrian was awesome. This is now our favorite place to eat....ever!

Breakfast is to die for. Dinner is not very good! Their biscuits and gravy are amazing. I've had fish and chips and burgers for dinner and they haven't been very good! If you go, go for the breakfast!

The fish was good....it was plump, lightly battered and crispy! Outdoor seating was nice and quiet. We went around 3pm and it was shaded.

Had a French dip here. The meat was pretty tasty had a bit of a smokey flavor. Enjoyed it, the place has a rather literary feel. Books on the wall arranged in some sort of decorative style. Pretty reasonable prices and large menu of American type pub food
