Chan's Garden

We often complain about the lack of quality Chinese food in Ann Arbor. And while Chan's Garden is, admittedly, not the ultimate... we've come to feel that it's Ann Arbor's best offering. Further, they are consistent. Their food is always good and they listen to our requests (e.g., extra spicy). They also offer large portions and do not feel overpriced.I especially like their meal deals, for example the $8 orange chicken dinner that comes with a full tub of soup and lots of rice (fried rice, if you want!). So much good food. Just wish it had more broccoli. We always get Chan's Garden delivered.

If you are ordering Chinese out of the Stadium corridor in Ann Arbor and it is not from Chan Garden it is because you haven't eaten there yet. Modest yes but not a hole in the wall. Great tradition dishes and their vegetable dishes rock. Great value, clean, and very friendly. And not just take out! They only seat four tables plus a few alfresco but since they do mostly take-out there is usually a couple of tables available in the evening. I've been a patron for some time now I truthfully wish I had found this place sooner!

Amazing Delivery Experience! The food was piping hot still. Delivered before expected time. Driver was very kind. This is not your usual Chinese. The rice is brown not the nasty premade yellow kind you find at a buffet. It is fried and very tasty. General Tso has the perfect kick to it and is not over powering. Egg drop soup is not that thick nasty stuff. Homemade for sure. Egg roll was perfect and crispy. Wontons..omg the wontons. Best Chinese experience in awhile.

Chan's is the best price/quality/service in the area by a long shot. I love their General Tso's, I'll drive from downtown just to pick up their lunch special. To be fair, it's all I've ever ordered, but to me just that deal is worth the five stars. And their egg rolls are killer

Good food. Incredibly fast service- they often ask when you want your food done instead of giving you a wait time. I've gotten food within 5 mins. Seems like a family business. My only complaint is the cleanliness

Chan's Garden served the best Chinese meal I've had in Ann Arbor. It started with unusually doughy pork dumplings that had to have been made from scratch, and continued with a fried noodle dish (chicken silver noodles) that had just the right amount of char to make for a really hearty flavor. I'd recommend Chan's Garden for the dumplings alone. Add into the mix an adorable brother-sister service team and you have my new Chinese go-to in town.

This is one of those hole in the wall places that has nice portion sizes for your money and good food the staff are very kind and helpful

Their chicken fried rice is the best this side of the state!!!

I’ve ordered from Chan’s Garden many times since moving to the west side of Ann Arbor. The quality of the food has always been good and the delivery times are always reasonable. Definitely a go to spot for me. I see quite a few poor reviews up so I’m sure the place has its flaws, but I’m glad to have only experienced the good side of Chan’s.

Fast, friendly, and consistent! Food is very good - I get the almond chicken which is always a good size too.

Love the food, it's reasonably priced, a good sized portion, and delivery is reasonable. Love the General Tso's (all are good here), the egg rolls are great, and the hot and sour soup is amazing
