Aventine

This place is by far, one of my favorite places in LA. For a solid year I used to come every day on Tuesday and enjoy 2 hours just chilling with my friends that were the servers. I really felt like I became part of their family and they would greet me and hug me every time they saw me. I miss the days when I would come here every week, but now, the more my life gets crazier the visits get few and far between. This will forever be one of my favorite places to go when I have a few hours to spare or an evening where I have nothing planned. Do yourself a favor, come here, you won't regret it. The food is spectacular, and the bartenders and servers are the best.

Came here for a birthday dinner. I ordered the ravioli rosso, which was delicious - they were light and the melted cheese inside was fantastic. The interior of the restaurant is dimly lit (which makes it slightly hard to read the menu) and rustic looking. My only complaint is the mandatory 20% gratuity and the inconsistent service. Our food arrived quickly and water was always refilled, but it took over 30 mins to receive and pay the bill.
